AmericanKenpo replied to silverbullet's topic in Saiga-12
If you are referring to my post, Im not "taking a shot" at anyone! Im unbiased either way, Just letting the other members here know another ones experience with a product. The promag and MD20 both work great in "my" S12...... -

Great vid!! I will admit, Ive never liked promag products because they have always just been shoddy, unreliable pieces of crap. But I do have one of their new 20rd drums and after a 100 rds. so far, it has been flawless. I have one of Mikes MD20's also and never a problem......... -
Command Arms Pistol Grip Bending Tromix TIY TG
AmericanKenpo replied to sicktooth's topic in Saiga-12
My DIY Tromix did the same thing with 3 inch buck and slugs. When I refinished my S12 I welded that part of the trigger guard to the receiver. Hasnt moved since. -
I bought my S12 with the intensions of converting it somewhere down the road..........within a week I had it converted with Tromix parts. Then I went out and spent $600 on ammo to feed the beast! I just tore it back down this past week, welded up all the holes, stripped it,and now its at the gunsmiths getting hot blued and bead blasted!!! Does it ever end???.......... I have a yard full of spent shells,a garbage can full of blasted watermellon and plastic jug parts stinkin to high heaven, and a hard on waiting to get it back from the gunsmith. The wife is ready to cut my balls off!!!!!!

AGPs are not designed for 3" shells. I guess my AGP's never got the message. They work fine with all types of 3" slugs, buck, and shot sizes.

There are 2 different brackets to accomodate the early and late-model Saigas. You must have received the wrong one. Email rumore@tromix.com with your contact info and we will send you a replacement. Thanks Bob!! Info sent!! Ya'll are great!

Installed the Tromix handguard and love the way it looks, but after a couple rounds the front mounting bracket bends forward due to recoil and the handguard can be slid forward and removed! Anyone else had this issue? The metal seems to be soft and bends easily. Just looking for a fix and the search function didnt bring up anything useful. Left a message with Tony, but havent heard from him yet. Thanks for the help!

I had the same thing happen with the AGP mags,BUT!!! It was not AGP's fault. It shot 2 3/4 fine but flew off the gun with 3' magnums. The problem was in the mag catch lever,it didnt fully seat up on the mag. I had to take it off and file down the the rear two "legs". Its worked great ever since with the 3 inchers. Look at the mag when installed in the gun and see if the catch is fully seated forward onto the mag. Bet that is your problem, not the magazine.

DAMN........... -
LMAO!! Now thats some funny shit right there!! Merry Christmas to all of you!! Now Im gonna go fondle myself while stroking my new S12 conversion.............
-
Mine did the same thing, but only when I fired it. It would spit the mag out on the ground. Your gonna have to knock the pin out of your mag catch, remove the catch, and grind down the rear two tangs so the catch moves further up the mag lip. That part is easy, replacing that damn spring is a pain in the A$$!! I wish I had pics for you. Hope this helps.
