  1. Yeah my wheel is on the front too.

    8rd mag +1

IF I were storing my S12 with a magazine inserted, I'd notch the safety lever and keep a full mag in it with the bolt open. You'd have to drop the safety before use anyways, that would chamber a round and you wouldn't have to worry about deformity.

But there is no disadvantage to trimming the follower, especially if you use the standard accepted capacity rather than try to cram an extra one in there. The more room you have to push down the top shell, the easier it is to insert the mag.
  4. I believe if you lower the front of the rib, you will RAISE the point of impact.
  5. The gun is interally threaded for Rem Chokes. The stand off/breacher is press fitted and secured with set screws. Breacher came with gun. Ghost ring/front sight is a Krebs item. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> How much did it cost to get it threaded for Rem Chokes?
  6. For shotgun use, I like these types of reticles because I turkey hunt more than anything, and you can see the head/neck better in case the target moves out of the way... they don't stay still for long. Plus, the head/neck is pretty small and easy to cover up with a 4moa dot. I'm still looking for other makers that have these types of reticles.
  7. Thanks guys. Eastwave looks to have good prices. Those PK series seem to be strictly red dot sights, right? I have different red dots on some guns and I like the different reticles. I wish they had different ones... Sometimes a single red dot is good for certain applications, and sometimes you need to actually see the target instead of having a big red dot on it. Are the ATN line of optics any good? http://www.atncorp.com/DayOptics/ReflexSig...traSightDigital
  8. There isn't anything funny about 9/11, of course. The Onion just has the ability to make you smile when you think about those terrorists screaming in pain as they are twisted up, barbequed and otherwise tortured by Satan and his minions. THAT is the entertainment value in that story. I would submit also that it isn't the cop's job to defend. And many, many of them gave their lives that day trying to rescue victims. We, as a nation, dropped the ball prior to 9/11 by thinking it couldn't happen here. We have to be able to protect ourselves. Cops are there to draw lines around bodies an
  9. Kind of leaning towards a Kobra right now... one concern I have is how it seems to stick out behind the receiver. I have a Romy folding wire stock on it... would I be in danger of getting the corner of the Kobra embedded in my cheek? I shot some 3" magnums out of it and forgot to make sure that the rear sling mount was rotated forward and it hit me in the upper lip... I hate to think of what one of those corners could do. ETA: Dang you guys... the more I look around the more money I'm going to spend. The PK-AS... how does it do with slugs out to 100 yards or so, since it's offset? D
  10. Trust me on this. Use the 12 with the irons until you can afford a decent optic, any of the Russian optics mentioned here will do nicely. EoTech is also good, as is Aimpoint with a side-rail adapter. Stay away from the $39 high-rise mount that Blackjack shows in his advertisement post. It's too high to use comfortably or practically, unless you find a wierd high cheekrest somewhere that will look wierd. There are low-rise mounts for more money from K-Var, or at the same price elsewhere. If you spend the $50 on both (if possible) you will have pissed away $50 and will curse the optic a
  11. hoop762, Do you have a link to Eastwave's site? Also, does your BSA have different reticles?
  12. Has anyone used the Taiga-2u? It has an interchangeable eyepiece to switch between 1x and 2.5x, which would be a value because I'd switch it between my WASR and my Saiga12 depending on the season. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=7152048909
  13. Who makes this? Is this the one with "made in Belarus" on the side?
  14. topmaul that's what I like to hear. Keep us posted after you shoot it...
