ok, so after reading and asking many questions at the store today, I BOUGHT IT i gave in and ended up with the .308 i am going to test shoot it tomarrow, i cleaned and fix my 9mm and the 12 gauge with the kit that i bought today, i figured, a gun has to come with some more toys so i bought some more ammo and cleaning supplies anyways, this i bought the FMJ copper Wolf ammo, this is softpoint right? im gunna set some targets tomarrow and go shooting with my friend and im assuming since its copper not steel tip that metal wont be penetrable with the metal barrels that he has around? w

so what exaclty is a 30-06? is that more powerful than a .308? does it have the same 8-10 mag or would it have more? what is the max mag that i can get for a .308, i am deciding between a 7.62 or .308, i like the idea that there are 30 rnd mags for 7.62, but i want a powerful one if i am going to spend 300+ on a .308. thanks

i am a noob and havent even cleaned a saiga rifle or a complete breakdown. i have broken down a m16 for army rotc, but if someone has links or pics or a written step by step or pictroial breakdown of regular maintaince of all the stff you should do after shooting that would be great, and i think very helpful for everyone new here so that their rifle will be in great working condition. thanks

so what ammo can i buy to shoot through those steel plates if i get a .308? and are there any shots with regular .308 FMJ ammo? thanks

i am still thinking of whether or not to buy that .308 syn 16" at the store, it will be 314 with tax and im not sure if i should get one from CDNN for the 16 syn or 22 wood

i need to know asap, lol does the .308 come with a side mount for a scope? its 289 at my local gun shop, still open for a few hrs, if it comes with a side scope mount i think i will snag it tonight and shoot it toamrrow

haha well i only have so much time until i go back to campus and i cant bring a .308 back there. i called today and they only have the preconfigured one and they dont know when they will get another in. it was a 16" bipod and scope for 488, a bit high i think esp since its not a russian scope. anyways, if i get the russian 8x32 that means i can zoom 1x-8x right/ thanks

i like the look of the bipod, what makes the the barrel clamped bipod not as good as the sling swivel one? im just wondering because this is going to be mainly just for ocassionaly target shooting, nothing real serious. and as for the scope, i have seem a lot of them, and the one that it comes with is a tasco 3 9x40 is that good for the price of 488, scope, bipod, gun, mag? let me know, im thinking i should buy it all separately, for a scope, what do i need to buy? a mount, rings, and scope which will run me ? thanks

Hello to all... i went to a local gun shop and fell in love with the Saiga .308 gun they had on display. it had a tasco 3 9x40 scope, bipod, black stock, and i didnt look very close to see what length the barrel was. today i have been reading up on saigas and they are quite impressive. so, i am going to purchase it for sure now. now for a stock gun it is 289 and for the scope, bipod, mag, and gun, its 488, this is all without tax. nnow my questions is, can i replicated the display gun with the bipod and scope, mounts, etc, for cheaper or should i just buy the display one for 488.
