JAG and Spacehog are right...Its not "Texas". Its the liberal shitholes. Dallas County and Travis County (Austin) are really the only liberal parts of the state, and I guess Houston is getting close. The other 90% of the state (geographically speaking) is solid conservative. Katrina really changed a lot of the demographics, and it is still shocking to me how many refugees we got and how many stayed.
Katrina fucked up my locale beyond repair. It was a good place to live, still had a small town vibe, since it was after all a small town. Then the liberal cocksuckers literally bussed in the Katrina rats, created section 8 housing for them, set them up with low cost FHA loans so they could get homes in decent subdivisions they could never afford on their own, and it's been downhill ever since.
They kicked the door open for these wretches, and they in turn threw it wide open for their homies, and now the little town where I grew up is a mongrel stew of minorities, foreigners, and carpet baggers. Crime rates through the roof, drugs easily found, shiftless urban outdoorsmen on every corner, and it gets worse every year since.
Finally getting the fuck out of here in November, and moving into a rural part of Northeast Ga., a move long overdue....

I strongly disagree with the mods on deleting what was said by JDeko. He put the crap out there, everyone should know what they are dealing with in a case like this. Any dude that needs to work on his makeup so that he can pose like a chick is NOT stable. Period!
Even after some fight club shit that has gone on here, I would go shoulder to shoulder with any of the regulars here. I am not comfortable at home or here encouraging someone who is unstable (at best) to be owning, or even touching firearms.

I bought a Cimarron 1911 A-1 last year in the polished blue finish. A beautiful 1911 that shoots as good as it looks. Got a hell of a deal on mine too. I wanted a traditional style 1911, not one with Novak sights, or rails, or any other bullshit. This pistol is exactly what I was seeking. All I did to mine was put rosewood checkered grips on it along with an ambidextrous safety since I shoot lefty.

Was subscribed to the guy, but dropped him way before his gummy bear fiasco. He does and says stuff that's just plain wrong in some of his reviews, and the guy came across as prick in several communications with him.
Prefer other reviews found elsewhere to anything he does currently...
This actually has me considering selling my 7.62 to help fund one of these. I've always wanted a Galil, but it's way out of the price range, nevermind the fact that I'd have to start over with ammo and mags. The fact that 1) this one's x39 2) it uses AK mags, and 3) it's not $3k are huge selling points to me.
Bingo. I have a East German Weiger clone that I like quite a bit, but would seriously consider parting with it and spending the proceeds on the Ace.
Running three different calibers now, besides those, don't want to shoot anything else that doesn't utilize 7.62x39 ammo and mags....

The fiancee took me to the N.Ga. mountains to visit our ersatz Bavarian village, Helen Ga.
Oktoberfest is in full swing there, and I sampled some German cuisine along with several of the many German beers on hand.
We followed that up by driving on into Hiawassee Ga, and visiting the Georgia Mountain Fall Festival where they demonstrate blacksmithing, grinding corn meal in an old fashioned grist mill, moonshining, and other lost rural and Appalachian arts.
My lady is a damn good woman, and she made it one of the best birthdays I've had in a while!

The German Drager ones are supposedly new old stock Bundeswehr masks. I have been thinking about buying one of those with some new filters. Would think they should do the job, as I am more worried about CS being deployed against us here in the US than nerve agents.

Ann Barnhardt brought up a very interesting point recently in regard to the plague bearer who just croaked in Texas.

I wrote this not just to make the point about failing to acknowledge and deal with objective reality, and how that is now LITERALLY going to kill people, I wrote it to hopefully rehabilitate Duncan’s reputation. I doubt he is a psychopath. I doubt he is a terrorist operative. I think he is just a sub-Saharan African who is probably teetering on the precipice of mental retardation, because that is what the odds clearly, clearly dictate.

Is it any wonder that they spread the damn virus among themselves in such widespread numbers? The only way to deal with a contagion is seal it off and let it run its course. I was against those two infected medical workers being brought back into the USA, and though supposedly cured, still think it was a horrific idea. If nothing else it desensitized the US public to the severity of this plague, and caused the idiots amongst the herd to think it was nothing the local hospital couldn't cure. Yeah, how many of the wondering plague bombs like Duncan who stagger into local emergency rooms are being treated in sealed hazmat facilities under strict protocol the way the two aid workers were? ZERO. I doubt there are 50 beds in the entire USA set up to deal with this effectively, every one else who comes into contact with a carrier will simply be fucked....

I think perhaps they underestimate how quickly this shit could turn against them. This is a recipe for the Balkanization of the USA, with it splitting into different regions, forming opposition governments, local militias, etc etc. Travel being restricted within different areas, strangers shot on sight, it can all go tits up real fast if the contagion breaks out..

The Marine Corps general who leads America's Southern Command warned Tuesday that the U.S. could face an unprecedented flood of immigrants from the south if the Ebola virus epidemic hits Central America.
'If it breaks out, it's literally, "Katie bar the door",' Gen John Kelly told said during a public discussion at the National Defense University. 'And there will be mass migration into the United States.'
'They will run away from Ebola, or if they suspect they are infected, they will try to get to the United States for treatment.'
'By the end of the year, there's supposed to be 1.4 million people infected with Ebola and 62 percent of them dying, according to the CDC,' he said.
'That's horrific. And there is no way we can keep Ebola [contained] in West Africa.'
And once it makes the large-scale jump over the Atlantic Ocean, he worried aloud, 'much like West Africa, it will rage for a period of time.'
Making matters potentially worse, Kelly warned that the same human trafficking networks responsible for bringing illegal immigrants northward through Mexico could unwittingly pass Ebola to the U.S. through their human cargo.
He accompanied American embassy personnel to visit the border between Costa Rica and Nicaragua, he recalled.
They saw a group of men 'waiting in line to pass into Nicaragua and then on their way north.'
'The embassy person walked over and asked who they were,' Kelly said, 'and they told him they were from Liberia and they had been on the road about a week.'
'They met up with the network in Trinidad and now they were on their way to the United States – illegally, of course.'
Those men, he told the military audience, 'could have made it to New York City and still be within the incubation period for Ebola.'
Ebola patients can carry the disease for a week or more before symptoms show and they become capable of easily transmitting the disease to others.
Now tell me our government isn't involved in actively trying to spread this disease when they ignore warnings like this one....

The most baffling fucking thing in the world to me is why we simply don't institute a complete ban on all flights arriving in the country from the infected nations. John Kerry said in his limp dick statement today that it was important the borders remained open
... WTF? I tell you, the longer this kind of insanity goes on the more it begins to mirror the plot line from the tv show on FX- 'The Strain". They seem to WANT the borders open to insure the disease spreads far beyond its epicenter, and with international travel and very few common sense travel restrictions being put into place by western nations it can now literally spread to every corner of the planet within weeks.
Whoever is puling that puppet Obamba's strings on this one is about as fucking evil as one can get.

The 10 rounds mags are hit or miss. There was a supposed fix for them posted here on the board but in the ones I have tried it with over time the polymer seems to revert back to it's original flex, which causes the binding others mentioned. Not reliable for anything other than the range, and you will still most likely have to clear a jam or two with each 10 round mag.
No experience with the drums, but they have excellent reviews. Right now CSS steel mags seem to be the only 100% reliable US made mag for the S12....
