My Dad took me squirrel hunting with my older brother and let me use his old Stevens single shot 12 gauge. Must have been around 8 or 9, certainly no older....

US made poly Mags are the weak link in the S12 system. Mine are simply not 100% reliable. I don't yet own any CSS steel mags, but I suspect they might correct the issue with misfeeds the AGP's and Promags give me from time to time. If they do that then for me the S12 will be my emergency go to gun. Right now it's second in line to my FNP40 with hollow points....

I would bet the mag is a "no name" type with an after market Wilson Combat base pad. Every 1911 mag I own has the manufacturers name stamped on it somewhere....

I actually sell the damn things at my part time job. Buy a hybrid. Propane on one side, smoker on the other. If there is an Academy Sports near you they cost $299. With that combo you can cook/smoke anything you want.....

Bought from them twice. First time several years ago, no problem. Second time, got the run around about parts not being in stock etc. Promptly cancelled the order. Since then their reputation and so-called customer service has cratered. I wouldn't risk placing an order with them if I were you....

Buy a N-pap underfolder or a Arsenal SLR107FR-31. The way they are dicking around with 5.45x39 you almost NEED a rifle in X39 if you like the AK at all.....

7N6 does NOT have what is considered a AP steel core. What it has is an UNHARDENED steel core covered by a lead jacket. 7N10 and 7N22 DO have hardened steel cores and are considered armor piercing rounds. Neither of these rounds are available on the civilian market....

Till proven ABSOLUTELY wrong I will consider this another scam to drive up demand for 5.45x39 ammo. It did what was intended, I.E. it started a panic amongst the plebes and drove demand way out of proportion to what the market was showing previous to this scare. If I'm proven wrong so be it. 2 or 3 months down the road we will know for sure.....

Don't avoid the caliber! Hell, I LOVE my AK74! I would take it over a 47 any day of the week. It's more accurate at range, recoil is almost nothing, the ballistic properties of the bullet tends to fuck living things up very badly, all admirable qualities in ANY combat rifle. Plus with the Bulgarian wood on mine I wouldn't hesitate to butt-stroke the hell out of someone if needed. All in all it's still one of the cheapest calibers to shoot, I can burn through hundreds of rounds of this stuff and not worry. This after the supposed demise of the caliber and so called "impending stricter import regulations" caused the price spiking and panic buying a few months back. Not the first time this rumor has floated around the internets....

I'm thinking of liquidating most of my 10 round polymer mags too. The mag (unless factory Russian) has ALWAYS been the lone weak point in the S12. These steel mags won't warp, are consistent with feed, and impervious to temperature issues. Time for me to save my nickels so I can purchase some...
