  1. I was at a Skinless concert in the saratoga springs area(eastern NY) when these guys opened up...
  2. The snare drum in this whole album makes me so happy...
  3. whats your thoughts on the LINCH? have you welded the rear sight yet? Going to keep the stock charging handle?
  4. I've heard admiral Nelson referred to as the smart mans rum. Cheap, lighter spice, stronger vanilla flavor.
  5. I've had it a few times. Not that I'm opposed to drinking it again, but I wouldn't go out seeking it at that price point again. I thoroughly encourage everyone try something, and maybe try it again before developing their own opinion. In this case its been made easy for you. They have a sampler, that you can get your hands on for under $100 that allows one to sample the red, black, gold and blue. Bourbon bacon?? What is this awesomeness? Please share the recipe if you've got a good one. This is how I like my bacon... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fy7biFRgGqc Just kidding. The
  6. If you ever get rid of the thumbhole I would be interested. Nice looking gun.
  7. Buffalo Trace is the cheapest bourbon I will drink straight, so good call there. Eagle rare is however much better. Evan Williams Is dirt cheap, and not that good, but goes great for cooking and mixed in with the coffee. If I'm making my Bourbon Bacon in the morning, this is the one I reach for. Neat, I like Buffalo Trace, Eagle Rare, Basil Haydens, Jeffersons Rye, and Chivas Regal. I'm currently trying a new one, JP Weisers Rye. Its good, but I'm not convinced its worth the money I paid. I like Manhattans, Ideally they consist of 4 shots of James E. Pepper 1776 Rye, a 1/2
  8. Remove the shroud off the front sight, or get a front sight gas block combo to reduce more weight and move weight rearward.
  9. The R S regulate side mount is 5 ounces, mine weighs the same now. Where do you get a ribbed dust cover? and how much does it weigh? Apex carries ribbed dust covers as of this post. Bulgarian ak74... not sure on the weight savings, but the ribbed covers are generally thinner metal, the ribs give them the needed rigidity.
  10. Worthwhile purchase. Not a screaming deal, but its fair.
  11. While we're on the subject, I'm pretty sure someone could make a gun out of what is available from lowes... Making this law even more useless...
  12. Realistically I'm thinking something as silly as drilling a hole in the gas knob would suffice. Tools from lowes wouldn't fix that and all those evil gases escape without cycling. Party time? Weld said holes shut or get a aftermarket one online. Nothing in this law seems to cover the BATFEs constructive intent laws, and Federal and State laws are different. Nothing says you can't immobilize with something that can be replaced via replacement parts. Another option is fixing a mag in it. Get a steel S-12 mag and weld it in. Nothing in the law tells you how much weld to add. Hell
  13. The more I look at this law the easier I think it'll be to get around.
  14. A tapco g2 and hammer reprofiling would be a step in the right direction. Bolt profiling would be another good step.
  15. nah your not. you need to look more. It was posted on this forum on a tromix shorty, and bumped within the month. http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/topic/92112-check-out-my-tromix-with-249-savit-stockwarning-bad-ass/
  16. I'm in Wisconsin and enjoying the company, and some habu sake! Hope your all doing so well!
  17. Yeah the stock G2 requires profiling... or you can beat it into submission with 3" mags. I did that on my first S-12, and its still to this day my most trusted for reliability. Eventually the metal that needs to move for reliability will do just that. In the case of that gun the hammer indented into the trigger group giving the appropriate clearance. Yours is trying to do that, but more than likely hasn't gotten pounded enough. this creates increased drag and pressures on internals. Profiling is the easier option if you don't love the feeling of violence when you pull the trigger as mu
  18. As a word of advice, don't get so fixed on shaving weight, pay more attention to where you put it. the more you can keep the weight of the gun rearward the less noticeable it will be. Think of it as a lever with a increasing mechanical advantage against you the further away from the center of your body it gets. the first dead weight you can shave off the end of the barrel is the sleeve hanging off the front sight around the end of your barrel. the Shield on the gas tube is another good target for removal.
  19. Overmolded yugo grip? Is the rail worth the weight if 5 oz off the rear was worthwhile?
