  1. Tony did give a price quote on a beltfed 12ga. To my knowledge no one has taken him up on it I can't seem to find that price quote for the belt feed S-12 on the forum. How much was it?
  2. Cool mags. I think I need to move to NC. Seems like more of my kind of people there.
  3. Might make for a bigger/lighter loud out if these mags are good. Wonder how these compare to Bakelite mags.?
  4. Sounds like they knew it was in the trunk before hand. Like they seen you put it in the trunk. I like that proto call for finding a stolen weapon. ....do a function test with live rounds.
  5. I was given a pamphlet at the last fun show that said, "It's your country. Take it back.", and was told that he's VERY gun friendly. Very big on border security, and no amnesty to illegals. Let parents choose where their kids are educated through a voucher program. Has a website: www.teamtancredo.com Anyone have more info on him? Racegal?
  6. Congragulations! I always like a happy ending. Since you did not get that fourth hole drilled at an angle, you might want to keep an eye open for plastic shavings in it. Let us know if you start to find any. CS
  7. I second what GOB said. I started watching it and Lost just long enough to decide I like it and then the ole work schedule changed. I've been getting as many of the people that I know on the left to watch it as I can. It's actually helped.
  8. If it will function just as good as buying two separate mags, then that would be
  9. Yep, no hi cap for it so you should prob box it up and ship it to me. I'll send you your money back that you spent on it.
  10. Good advise VJOR. When doing the function check, holding the trigger back and cycling the action to cock the hammer, then slowly allowing the trigger to move forward, there should not be enough space between the trigger hook and the disconnecter to allow the disconecter to release the hammer without the hook on the trigger catching it. In short, when releasing the trigger slow/or fast, the hammer should not fall to strike the firing pin. It should not be possible for you to cause it to fire more than one time with a single pull of the trigger no matter how slow you squeeze it. Even with
  11. A poll might be worth while. Making the 2 3/4" first makes sense. A lot of folks would use them for blasting cheap ammo. At the same time, I still see a mag that will feed the Russian steel hull ammo reliably as having a real world edge over one that will not, due to top round deforemation with plastic hull ammo.
  12. Is there going to be a price increase????
  13. Take a deep breath and blow it out. If you did as posted above it was a malfuntion. It takes considerable amount of modification to convert an AK to full auto. You would have had to do more than just install the wrong parts or something like that. You just need to figure out what caused the malfunction and correct it. I had that happen to me with a 7.62x39 Saiga. I didn't get the retaining plate in the the groove of the axis pin that the hammer pivot on and the pin walked out of the hole on one side. When this happened, the hammer was canted to one side so it didn't line up wit
  14. Congradulations on your Saiga, and welcome to the forum! If you live in California it might be especially wise to carefully research the laws before threading the barrel of your rifle, or making any other mod that adds features deemed "evil" like pistol grip, folding stock, hi cap mags, ect...
  15. What's the scoop? Does it still need to be modified to work? Or is it a straight forward replacement for the stock one?
  16. From what I've seen, this seem to be the biggest weaknesses of this shotgun. I have a case of Barnaul steel hull ammo I bought about three years ago from Sportsmans Guide. I've only gotten it to feed reliably out of the 5 round mags so far. Then again I don't have much time to tinker any more either. I think Mike may very well be on to something with his idea. I realy hope he has good sucess and lets the rest of us know.
  17. The factory 8 round mags use a russian 20 round spring.
  18. I've never used a shotgun on a bear I'm kind of fond of big bore rifles for that kind of stuff, so I aked some bear hunting nuts about it. Sounds like at 50 meters or less, the 12 guage does just as good job on black bears as an .375 H&H provided you are using slugs like the Breneke that have a harder lead rather than the softer type. Black bears are a smaller breed. They got off topic debating the issue. I'll ask again next time I get the chance about grizzly, and brown bears. My speculation is that one shot will not drop a bear in it's tracks, but if you pumped a few slugs in one
  19. Pull back on the charging handle until the bolt carrier is touching the hammer and hold it there. Then pull the trigger back and hold it as you let the bolt carrier return to the forward position. The hammer will ride the carrier forward.
  20. Try using a 1-9, 16 " barrel with 77& 79 grain match bullet and let use know how it stabilizes.
  21. Tough call with out more info in someway. Hunting or defense?
  22. Using irons. Considering Ultimak with pistol scope in the scout position. I'm aprehensive about clamping the rail to the barrel though.
  23. TOPMAUL, I've been wondering what you think of that set up now that you have used it a while.
