  1. If you're looking for sympathy, look in the dictionary. It's between shit and sypholis, beccause you're not finding it here. Old Corps, My Coprs, and this new piece of shit Busier than a one legged man in an ass kicking contest. Busier than a cat trying to bury shit on a tin roof. More fucked up than Hogan's goat. You're a bag of fuck. You have your head so far up your ass, you have to wear a plexi glass belt buckle to see where you're going. Your head is so far up HIS ass you can tell me what he had for dinner. Semper Fi! = Oorah for me and fuck you, told to me by Marines from WWI, WW
  2. I have run a Rec 7. It was not mine, but permission to abuse it was given. The thing runs flawlessly, dirty, un clean, with wolf and crap ammo it runs like a champ (also little to no lube, cretainly no CLP and not dripping wet like other ARs). IF I were to buy a new AR, I would go with a Rec 7. You can also go the route of a Rec 7 upper and a standard AR lower. It bolts up fine. That can save you a few bucks. I do have first hand knowledge of several Rec 7s going in the 10s of thousands of rounds without cleaning and they still ran. The problem with some other systems (and I am not speaking ab
  3. This is simply an East Coast exercise of existing West Coast ones. 2nd Mar Div and Wing units have deployed to the West Coast for decades in order to conduct certain operations. Just sounds like they are finally working up the same logistics to cover the East Coast. This is a rather diffiult undertaking when spread accross multiple states and bases. On the West Coast it is usually 1 - 2 bases and no more than 2 states involved, East Coast is 3 states and 3 or more bases. Don't read too far into it.
  4. This is a Tactical Response Fighting Pistol course. I took the same course back in September. This would be day 2 of the 2 day course. Every magazine that you run will have an FTF round in it. The instructor in the video is not picking up the round at the end of the video, but picking up the dropped magazine.
  5. Is your friend and aquaintence and not "really" a friend? Is he a friend that will help you move or is he too busy when you need help? Is he a friend that at 2AM you call up and ask for help to move some large trash bags to a hole will he ask questions, hang up, pr be there in a heart beat? If he is an aquaintence that you are friendly with and not really friends? I would probably do it If he is a friend that will help you move, I would'nt take advantage of it. If he is a friend that I can call at 2AM and no questions asked, be there? No friggin way would I do it! JMHO
  6. I left CA just a couple years ago. I was fortunate and charmed in a way. I joined a company while in San Diego with the intent of saving money to move to a southern state. After a couple months the company opened on office in a southern state and needed volunteers to move and open the new site. I volunteered, they picked me and I got the move I wanted and they paid for it. The reasons I was looking to leave CA: 1) land and a lack of it and the cost 2) firearms. I could not own the ones I wanted, shooting ranges were drying up, and outdoor areas were getting patroled more and more by LEO
  7. And here is my favorite parable about firearms and the right to bear arms: http://catb.org/~esr/guns/sheep.html "Not so long ago and in a pasture too uncomfortably close to here, a flock of sheep lived and grazed. They were protected by a dog, who answered to the master, but despite his best efforts from time to time a nearby pack of wolves would prey upon the flock. One day a group of sheep, more bold than the rest, met to discuss their dilemma. "Our dog is good, and vigilant, but he is one dog and the wolves are many. The wolves he catches are not always killed, and the master j
  8. The 1934 National Firearms Act (NFA) is what regulates true "Assault Weapons" and was NOT affected in any way, shape, or form by the 1994 AWB and will not be affected by current bills put forth. If you want to see where the laws started going wrong, the best place to look is the 1939 US v Miller case. To get a real good understanding you have to go to the lower court rulings. US V Miller in a nutshell was a case against Miller and his partner for transporting a "sawed off shotgun" between states. The NFA was used to prosecute Miller, but the judge advised Miller to fight it as being un
  9. Might want to look at an Enidine Shot Shok. A little price, but if you like the M4 type collapsible stock it is worth it.
  10. Cool. Did'nt want to jack the thread. I know I have been in a few situations in my life that a firearm was used to protect me or property, but have never had to discharge it. Given today's situations and environment and the way criminals are today... I would give them one verbal chance to cease and decist their current actions. After that, the next call would be for a body bag (least that's what I say until I have to be in that situation, never know until it happens). Castle Doctrine is just plain common sense to me. I am not going to sit there and debate if the person is drunk or not
  11. Here is the article they were debating that I was responding to: Shooting death fuels debate over guns Valerie Richardson (Contact) Monday, February 2, 2009 Sean Kennedy, a 22-year-old golf pro, drunkenly banged on the door, yelled obscenities and smashed a window as he tried to enter what he thought was his house. But it wasn't his home. The house, located a block from Mr. Kennedy's residence, but showing the same house number, belonged to James Parsons. As Mr. Kennedy reached his arm through the broken window in an effort to unlock the back door, Mr. Parsons, who was inside w
  12. I honestly can say I don't know. I was not there and luckily have not been in that exact or even similiar situation. The hard part about laws and lawyers and any type of review of actions, they also were not there, and everyone gets to armchair the decision for ever. Put into that type of situation, you have seconds to decide what you will do. You don't get to debate about it, second guess it, phone a friend, or have a pole done. The saying, "When only seconds count, the police are minutes away." is very true here. They were on 911 with the Operator for over 4.5 minutes waiting on the cops
  13. TR, Nice looking conversion you got there. I should be finish up my conversions in the next few weeks, just waiting on a few parts to come in. Never can say it enough... nice looking Rottie Too bad Jimmy got camera shy at the last minute, but Tara is looking good.
  14. If you can't afford the conversion at once, don't stress about it. By pieces and parts as you can. When at the gun show while buying ammo, mags, or whatever, swing by some of the parts folks and pick up a piece here and there. Before you know it, you'll have everything you need to do it. Firearm responsibility is practice by those that are responsible, those that are'nt will eventually find themselves (or someone else) out of the gene pool. Having served in the Marines and having an AR, I preffer my new AKs over it and have not even shot it in over 3 years. I won't get rid of it, but I
  15. Why is it that White's have to feel guilty about being proud of their heritage, lineage, or who they are? And why is it that we cannot be proud in public? I don't care what race, color, creed, religion that you may be or associate yourself with. I am getting beyond sick and tired of people labeling themselves in PCness of their race or ethnicity before AMERICAN (African-American, Mexican-American, Hispanic-American, etc.). You either ARE or are NOT an AMERICAN! So long as you have "diversity" you will have an ever growing division in this country, and any other countires. I know what my he
