  1. That would be a shoulder breaker!! Would love to fire that thing off. A great grizzley bear/dangerous game gun!
  2. Have them in all of my rifles and my S12. No issues on this end.
  3. The early ones were made with US surplus parts. The farther they went along, the poorer the quality got. I worked with a fella some years back that was working on the history of the Universal Carbine company. Do a google search and you should find it. Can't remember his name but he did a pretty good read on them and pretty informative. If you DO have an early one, you have a good one more than likely.
  4. I have a Universal in stainless, made from"80_82". Runs great, very accurate. A fun gun. My dad picked it up for me years ago for $75 from someone needing money...lucky for me,!
  5. I put it on the S12 and ran several stick mags fine. For what ever reason, the drum didn't want too run. But it was a hoot with the sticks, just QUICK!! It does lose appeal when you realize how much ammo you run through. As for doing video, thatmore for friends that can't be there and want to see.
  6. Ammo!!! Do you have short term memory loss? Remember how high ammo was a little while back, and that's WHEN you could find it? Ammo. Hmmm, good to have
  7. You are not kidding about that! BUT it's cheaper than laying out $10,000+ on a full auto THEN blowing through 1,000 rounds in an afternoon. LOL It is a stone cold rush! LOL
  8. As the man of the house you control the breaker box. Maybe on your next day off the rooms that power the games and TVs experience some sort of electrical problems. Then you also can be the hero who 'fixes' the problem later that evening. Cut the power. I know I can make him do it. The part I'm having trouble with is making him want to do it. The whole damn system is actually locked up in a box in the basement for couple of weeks now. He's got a .22, a great little dirt bike , a thousand acres of forest land adjoining my property, a good population of grouse and cotton tails. Just no inter
  9. LOL, only here! It would take slightly more of my ferocious pack, seen in my avatar.
  10. A LOT can happen in just a couple of days! There has been a LOT of interest in the design that I have come up with, so I may be trying a small production run in the near future. My background in engineering and QC may pay off, don't know. Need to do some more research, but I believe that it will hold up to the Saiga 12 as well. That will be my homework this weekend. WIll post more videos if I can soon, but as far as detailed pics, I'm gonna have to hold off on that for now.
  11. LOL, as soon as I finished putting up the videos, I thought to myself, "ya know, I should have took some pics because SOMEbody will ask! LOL Will take apart and post some pics when I can, hopefully this weekend sometime.
  12. Yeah, Nuclear welders, tech types, weapons manufacturers, y'all all come on down!
  13. Now, THAT makes sense!! For a few bucks more, get a custom job done on the parts.
  14. Thanks SGL, had too many things going on today to make things easy! LOL Yes, that was a shit eatin grin on my face. Simple to make, especially when a friend has a machine shop. One doesn't need a Bridgeport but they are nice to have when one wants to mill parts. Already have people wanting me to build them one but I just do not have the time. I figure that they can do as the rest of us and roll your own...the Saiga Forum way.
  15. I quit smoking in July of 2013...figured that was good for a few years worth of resolutions!!
  16. Fired off the x39 with the homemade slidefire and the s-12 . You could hear the fireworks from dark till 3-4 am. Not much sleep that night.
