  1. I have the option of getting a factory screw on choke for the Saiga. Which one would you choses? The Half choke or the full choke? I want to use it for birds and clay as well as putting buckshots down range. Can you shot slugs through a half choke? Cheers!
  2. Anyone shot clays or birds with a VFG? How did it go?
  3. Hi all, I'm thinking of getting a VFG, or is it FVG, for the saiga. I got taught how to shoot a shotgun the old school way where you extend your index finger on your support hand and "point" the shotgun at where you want the shot to land, when shooting bird and clays. Can you still "point" a shotgun with a VFG? Speakin of which, do you guys aim your saiga? or do you point it? Do you think a VFG is a good idea for clays and birds? Cheers!
  4. I have the 19" barrel version. Is it possible to cut down the barrel at all without any modification to the gas system?
  5. Threadios Resurrectios! Does this mean running the gun on setting 2? Or actually drilling and enlarging the gas ports? Cheers!
  6. I use something similar. 1)Rack and engage the BHO with my RIGHT hand 2)Move RIGHT hand back to the grip 3)Load mag with Left Hand 4)Charge shell with LEFT hand.
  7. Does anyone uses the Tapco AK veritical grip? Such as this one: http://dpharms.com/ak-vertical-grip-by-tap...lack-p-968.html What do you think of it? Can it stand up to the pounding from the Saiga-12? I'm ordering the tri-rail from DPH and thought I might pick up the grip as well. Comments, Suggestions, Land Claims?
  8. Does it mean that a private individual need a export permit as well? Will it be stopped at the boarder if it doesn't have one? I understand if it's a AR lower or something. But a hand guard?
  9. I asked because DPH and most retailers don't ship over seas because they need a "export permit". If it's just considered a hunk of metal then why wouldn't they do it? I've been trying to give them some money for ages...
  10. Hi guys, I have a friend in New York that could export the DPH tri-rail to me in New Zealand. Can anyone tell me what the rules are regarding shipping a tri-rail by a private individual? Has anyone shipped over seas before? Cheers!
  11. Okay guys, before I say anything, I just want to get somethings stright. Pistol grip = sexy Chaos rail = sexy DPH tri rail = sexy Surefire fore-rail = sexy Foreward- trigger group = sexy Laser, light, red dot sight = sexy Now the formally is out of the way, let's cut the bulllshit. Does a converted Saiga-12 actiually make any difference. I've been using an Un-converted Saiga 12 for a while now. I'm talking about stright out of Russia in the box with the sporter stock. AND i've played around with a converted Saiga-12. I DID NOT notice any SIGNIFICANT difference in the pe

  13. Not nearly enough! What are you gonna do after you killed the first 50? Ask them nicely to take a break while you reload your magazine? I want to have 10 20 round drums! 14. Hi, I'm based in Auckland. Did you ever find out if the trigger guard idea of yours is legal? Cheers!
  15. Hey mate. Just checked it out. That's exactly what I was looking for. Great find. But by the look of it you need to move the trigger forward. Hope that's not too expensive. Are you a member of IMAS? I just signed up to the forum and am keen to get involved.
