  1. Deep down, gay or not has little to do with a persons abilities to shoot the enemy. I've never been in combat, or even in the service, but it couldn't be much different than high school gym class when showering and stuff. You are around the same people everyday. People see you 100% warts and all. The thing I see as a deterent or detrimental thing, is like whats posted above. The physical capacity to handle the job. yet you better not breathe a word of it or your ass will be fired for EEOC rules. I would be much more afraid of "rats" or "ladder climbers" or whatever you want to call them. The s
  2. The music group 3 Dog Night (one is the Lonliest number, Black and White (jerimiah was a bullfrog), Mama told me not to come, Joy To The World) got it's name from an old Austrailian Outback saying. If it was a cool night, you only needed one dog to keep warm, if it was chillier, 2 dogs. If it was stinking COLD out, it was a 3 dog night. Holy god, those Mastiffs could rewrite history on that one! They are very cool dogs.
  3. Kevin in Texas is right on the money. The city police training range is right down the street from me, and when they start, it always startles me, because I haven't heard that sound in so long. It is a small town (4000), but they manage to do a very good job. I would think their budget would be bare bones, though. Maybe someone (even myself here) could contribute ammo so that they could be more proficient? I've never given this a thought before, but I have thought of going down to the range and letting them shoot my weapons, just so they could be comfortable with shooting a variety of things b

  5. +1 Yep, good point. And it wont be North Vs. South, it'll be the Idiots in the cities(those dumb enough to stay when the SHTF) and everyone else. Please do explain how your house in the middle of nowhere is so defensible. But first watch this!!! You really don't want to be considered an enemy or a threat by anyone. You're best bet in surviving a civil uprising is to lay low and do your best to protect home and family against roving bands of morons, city dweller or redneck. Both sides will end up getting spanked pretty badly. If the people in uniform roll by, just wave!
  6. One year for Christmas, when I was a little kid, I got a stuffed dog that was at least that big or bigger compared to me. I've loved dogs ever since. I'd give anything (except the food bill) for a dog that big today. That would ROCK!, And, now that I think about it, the biggest dog I've ever seen was a Rottweiller at a vet in Houston. It's head was damn near the size of a horses head, and it was sitting on its haunches, almost three 1/2 foot tall. it looked pure evil, kickass cool.
  7. Nothing worse than having your home broke into. I believe it's the male equivalent of feeling "raped", esp. if they get a bunch of your stuff and you never get it returned. You get so pissed, but have no one to direct your rage at. It can really work you over, if you let it. Glad you had a system, and glad it worked.
  8. One of the funniest scenes I've ever seen in a movie was Naked Gun (2? I think?) where Leslie Nielsen shoots the grappling hook over the wall and it catches on the Dobermans collar. The more he hoists up, the closer the dog gets, with just a little growl each time! Seriously, I have never ever been bitten by a dog, even mean wild ones, but I would run like a little girl from these warriors. Our local paper just had a story where they are having to retire their K-9 dog after 8 years and said the replacement cost would be anywhere from $7000 to $10000. WoW! (Bow Wow - sorry bad joke) The retired
  9. So far, there are a few states willing to take on the feds. Wyoming just announced a $2000 fine and 2 year prison term for any Fed agent seeking to intervene with a "Within State" gun law. So far, Montana, Utah, Tennessee and Wyoming are really making a stand against the feds. Esp. Montana and Wyoming. Where the hell is Texas? Texas is a state many look up to, but are being sissies so far. Do you hear me Texans? SISSIES! Montana and Utah are out classing you. Wyoming just upped the ante. Where are you Texas? Tennessee has outclassed the southern tx boys as well. If Tx doesn't show up, there ar
  10. Maybe I should look this up. In NE you can open carry. As long as it is in sight it is legal. (pistol) Some stores ban guns (walmart) etc. I am just barely in the city limits. City law says no gunfire. I call the Chief of Police and ask him if I can shoot my gun. He says "What for?" I say well, I've got some skunks, either your're going to get them or I am. He says "go ahead" lol. It's wacky reading about you guys living in the larger metro areas. Stuff I never dreamed of. I can drive a couple of miles and shoot all I want, no carry stuff, range fees or anything involved. I can seriously drive
  11. Ha, then she'd have to be classified as an Air Force dog or something! ( and get her cleared for fence clearances ) I tried Psychically willing her not to jump, but I guess I'm no Uri Geller. lol
  12. I'm on call 24/7, so anyone I know can call anytime. If I have to set my alarm to get up for a doctors appointment, I sit and stare at the clock until it goes off because I'm scared I'll miss it. Life it so much better without an alarm clock. I get up far more tired than if I would have just stayed up reading. I can't do alarm clocks at all anymore. ( or 9 to 5 everyday ) That would suck so bad.
  13. The harder you work, they luckier you get! Good news. Especially in this very tight job market. Don't sqaunder your opportunities. The girls are as abundant as the fishes in the ocean you were looking at. Don't let them distract you until you get your feet settled. (Don't want to be be basing your life on what COULD have been - seen it a LOT of times) Congrats!
  14. It just seems shitty to me, that if was your son or daughter, you would move heaven and hell to get justice served, but since these are "castaways" sent to BoysTown, that no one gives a shit. Jesus fucking christ - people. What does it take. How can anyone be put in that situation and not say "something is seriously fucked up here, and I don't want to associate with you anymore". This was nationwide and went as far as the White House. Look up Jeff Gannon, Gay Escort/White House Press Reporter. The upper echelon were all involved. It has been reported in the mainstream media. Maybe no one notic
  15. Cool idea, G O B, I will try that first, then if need be the handheld shocker. One other site I looked at said to put curved inward chicken wire in your fence tops, but can't see how that would attatch to plastic picket fence. Thanks everybody. She is an absolute great dog except for the cat thing, and I need them for mice control.
  16. just read on another site that over a dozen people related to this case died suddenly or unexpectedly. DeCamp has noted numerous times he has had death threats to him and his family members,
  17. Cornielius "Neil" McCarthy, 69, died. After a courageous battle with cancer. He was active in 4-H and FFH, graduating in 1958. He served on the Lexington and Gothenburg Police forces until 1966 when he retired, after being injured in the line of duty. Albert Lind, 93 died.He and his brothers walked over the hills to a rural school, and after completing eighth grade, he went to work for his uncle and numerous other ranchers. He worked at Jackamar Flats during World War II, and was given a farm deferment. Just two of the 4 headlines in my home paper obits. Don't know Corey Haim. Heck, I don't kno
  18. Just finished up watching it again. Hadn't seen it for awhile. There is another more comprehensive vid on the web, even though the bush's ordered all copies to be destroyed. The courts in NE ended up charging a 15 year old girl (at the time) and sentenced her to 25-30 years. How's that for justice? A girl gets raped and used, then gets 25 years jail time for testifiing. There are Many, many more articles on youtube if you look up Sen. John DeCamp, (he was unbelieving at first, then horrified at what humans would do to another after he learned) or the book The Franklin Cover Up, written by John
  19. I guess this sounds like the best deal. She has been getting bolder, jumping when I turned away for a moment to talk with a friend and the last time, jumping as soon as let her in the yard and I was out of view for 5 sec. She's too smart for her own good. Luckily, it was freezing rain last night and she wanted back in after 4 hours. I wouldn't really care if she just stayed on the acres, but there are semis that go by in front. She will chase the cats for quite a ways. Thanks for the tip.
  20. I won't tie the dog up, I love all my dogs unconditionally, and that would just be wrong, to me. The fence is around the front of my property, and it just isn't feasible or asthetic (sp) or affordable to do anything like that. Wow, I wish there was an easy answer. Unfortunately, she apparently loves to kill cats. You would think that cats would be able to outrun her, but I guess not. For 2 of them at least. I hate cats, just have them around for mice control, so aren't worried about them. I put water and food out for them, but only enough that they keep mice away. Cats should be able to outrun
  21. At one point in the film, the kid admits to being given any drugs he wants, and people shoving gourds up his ass. These were you elected representatives in 2004. For some reason, this ticks me off. A LOT of big name people were involved.
