  1. Ill second Indy Eastwave Mounts are excellent. Been using them for years. They come in hi and low variety
  2. I use the setup that came with the tapco stocks and have found them to be very durable...tho I've never used an echo so I have no basis for comparison. I run single and double point slings. Drop tests have shown then to quite sturdy.
  3. I've been using the BP-02 mount from eastwave.CA for many years. Comes in low and hi variety. Very robust. Price is around $70 and ships straight out of the mother land.

  10. ive used that very method myself. works very well. got a light i bolt on there when my S12 pulls HD duty
  11. +1. Auto Zone has that ETA: DE 1634 is the "color number" that will be on the can.

  13. HA! man when i got my first saiga is 2005, i could go to my local gun shop and get 1000 rnds of x39 out the door for $98. sure do miss those days
  14. +1 on going with the install When i bought my first saiga i had a steel 30rnd mag that would function without a bullet guide, but it was a fluke. Every other mag i tried would fail to feed 100%. Go ahead and install the guide, The peace of mind is worth the investment alone. Go with one of Din's guides. i recently got to work with one, and they are fantastic quality. Ive made many bullet guides from scratch...but i wont make another. Din makes good stuff
  15. IIRC, its 1/8" thick for the 7.62x39 bullet guides
  16. beautiful rifle!!!! and as far as im concerned, theres no such thing as a "correct" AK. Whatever you like, THAT is whats correct My hats off to you. Thats an amazing looking weapon
