Where to get my comp gun converted
dutchshepherd replied to stiletto raggio's topic in The Competitor's Corner / TEAM SAIGA
The GunFixer did my Conversation and my trigger job , I shoot competitions three to four times a month. The trigger pull is very light and has a short reset. It has one of the best trigger pulls of any shotgun I have ever put my hands around. I can shoot .13 doubles all day with it. His name is Nathan and you can find him at Firearm Sales in Ivor Virginia !-866-869-4867 This guy know Saiga 12s inside and out He did my first Saiga 12 After I started testing and then competing with it I ordered a second and two guys I shoot against went in and ordered one each. i can not say enough about this -

Folder or Collapsible?
dutchshepherd replied to topmaul's topic in The Competitor's Corner / TEAM SAIGA
For some 3 gun and other practical application, in a vehicle its hard to shoot out both sides with a full length stock. Thats why I 'am putting a folder on my conversation. I do not see a down side to it. Hope that helped Jim -
I unscrewed the poly one full turn, from bottomed out then to the desired setting. That patterned tightly and knocked down steel with authority. I 'am having some other work done now , so I will run a further documented pattern tests later. Thanks Jim

Ajackb, Where are you in Florida? In Jacksonville. I will try that, pattern it and hopefully thats the answer. thank everyone out there for their input on this issue Jim

I went home and put up a large piece of cardboard, pattern tested it at the same distance 13-15 yards POA was perfect, but at Extra-Full it patterned looser then may other shot guns at Imp-Mod I wonder if my Poly-Choke is not working ?
-
Shot size 7 1/2 around 13-15 yards Federal brand. I went home and patterned on card board, POA was on . I tried shooting a steel swinger it moved it very lightly, grab another shotgun it really moved it same ammo and a Imp-Mod choke . The cardboard test showed a slightly looser pattern at extra-full as the other guns with a Imp-Mod I think it the Poly-choke. Do anyone have experience with Poly -Chokes is this the normal. or is mine not working?
-
Shot my first match with S12, all three people shooting S12's with poly chokes had a problem knocking off the plates on the Texas Star. We all use x-full and could not take off the plates. I shot the stage the the same ammo in a Benelli and it ripped the plates off. Any ideas? what could be the problem?

I just got my first Saiga, I plan on using it in competitions. The bolt does not stay open after the last round. As you know it is tough to load on a closed bolt. Is there a magwell? What is the fastest way to reload. I held the bolt back left handed grabbed the mag strong handed rocked it in released the bolt is there a better way?
