  1. Tapco G2 FCG (Fire Control Group) (Single hook) $30 Shipped... Still available.
  2. This is the most common FCG for Saiga 12 PG (Pistol Grip) conversions. There SEVERAL references on this site and elsewhere on what/how to convert a Saiga. Basically you need: 1) FCG 2) Stock (May need need an adapter depending on your choice.) 3) Pistol grip 4) Trigger guard/PG mount Keep in mind 922r and parts count/country of manufacture.
  3. Cool! Now that I have added a Promag to my collection I'm just one more step closer to becoming one of your humble LRBHO beta testers. JD 8^)
  4. I was at a local gun show today and saw a huge stack of 10 roung saiga 12 promags! I couldn't resist. I bought one to 'test' and took it to the range today with my new MD20 drum! I had to 'fit' the the promag just as I had to fit the MD20 ('B' fitting). Filing a SMALL amount off the back where the magazine release catches. I also had to enlarge the follower slightly as it was coming all the way to the top of the magazine instead of catching on a stop about 1/2" down. (Easy repair. I'll post a 'how-to' if needed.) I shot about 50 rounds of Wally-World ammo without any issue.
  5. SAW grip and Stock S.P.F. to cma g21 Tapco FCG still available.
  6. I'm in on the 'vacation tour'. I just want to know how we are going to get our goodies back INTO the states. It's not going to be like that bottle or rum from my last cruise I bet.
  7. what color? Sorry for the omission: Color is Black.
  8. UPDATE: 1/16/09 Sorry for the long delay... Life, you know how it is sometimes. I DID receive and install the CAA adapter and CBS stock combo. IT'S AWESOME! Number one reason it's awesome: I got it quickly. Directly from CAA. None of the 'Oh-so-common' backorder, shipping or production delay crap! While I was dong this conversion I had a buddy start his own conversion. He went the internal block/pig nose route... No parts for him yet. He's dealing with ACE now. Who knows when he will get his parts. OK... I feel better now that's off my chest. The adapter

  10. Yup, has the standard M22x0.75 threads and a lockring. We're working on a big batch of them right now and will try to put together a package deal for Saiga-12 members sometime in January to coincide with the start of our advertising sponsorship here. Has anyone heard anything about the 'package deal' mentioned on this forum back on December 18th? I am nearing the completion of my latest Saiga 12 conversion and I wanted to incorporate a KA-1212.
  11. This mod can be done without harming the finish of the gun. Be careful. Protect the gun where necessary with masking tape, etc. if you feel the need. Why do you NEED to add gas ports? Even if you only have a two port gun it should cycle ALL ammo types according to RAAC. Are the ports unobstructed and clean? If your gun has not yet been converted, check with RAAC about getting it repaired/replaced by them. If you want to repair your own gun, I would consider enlarging your existing gas ports SLIGHTLY before attempting to drill another hole in the barrel. Drilling a hole in
  12. You got a problem with big words? Learn and grow. BTW it's Laureate (not me.) I do not dismiss your effort or intent. As I said, just my personal opinion. Others are welcome to contribute--to date they haven't. NP! LOL... I KNEW I'd get you with that! I'll see if I can muster something up. It's all good! JD
  13. In my opinion, at face value it certainly sounds like a good idea, but as previously inferred it does lend itself to many complexities, politics, and potential complications. The paucity of responses hopefully bespeaks the recognition of these possible problems. Hummm... A Nobel Lauret. OK. Nothing ventured, Nothing gained. I was only trying to help. JD
  14. No takers here? No one in charge reading this forum/topic? Not even a no answer?
  15. After communicating with gunfixr I am now aware that he is out of plugs and MDARMS is now the source. I sent Mike a PM to order one. I hope they become available soon. I'd like to have one now... JD
  16. As I had stated in my original post "Typically site moderators review and approve product reviews before they are posted for content and accuracy." The Mods and Admins could have total control. We'll see if anyone here (In charge) at this forum responds.
  17. Ordered three today. Black on back order. I have a black tactical MOLLE bag that I'm using for my Saiga 12 currently. This will work/attach perfectly.
  18. I have been, and will continue to be, an active member and contributor on several internet forums/sites. Most of these forums, have a review section where topics may be posted for item reviews. I feel this type of information is VERY valuable and would be highly desirable to the members. Not to mention helping to reduce repetitive posts regarding product information. Typically site moderators review and approve product reviews before they are posted for content and accuracy. Although it takes quite a bit of time to do a through review including pics, I would be willing to share m
  19. Yes, and a less important detail: there's no dust cover for the left side. What about this option from Cadiz (VanKiller) which IS removable and would allow for a receiver side mounted scope if desired. Here is the link in this forum: http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showtopic=32013
  20. Yes, and a less important detail: there's no dust cover for the left side. I DID contact them and the parts are NOT made nor marked in the USA. They are modified original parts.
  21. I LIKE what I see... The Lightning Bolt looks like something that could take a bit to get used too, but worth the effort. I'm building a Saiga for 3-gun comps. I may just try one of these out. I also like the fact there are no mods needed to the gun. New carrier and dust cover. I assume they are American made which would also be a plus for 922r.
