  1. Like I said I was VERY surprised to see ANY mags available at the show. They are scarce as hens teeth around here. None of the local shops have had them and I could not find an online dealer that wasn't out of stock. People are borderline frantic with the upcoming admin and all... They were $44 each... AGPs were $64 each... I hope I didn't get screwed I'll post a full review after I hit the range. Anyone else have any of these? They look good. Please let us all know how they work. Be sure to shoot some high power stuff too. (Slugs and 00BK.)
  2. I suppose it depends somewhat on the State you're in, but I don't think you can get an FFL without a seperate physical business address. Not really sure, though. Good luck to you in any case. I think Nevada is a very "gun friendly' state. Where can I look to find information out about my state? BATF?
  3. I looked hard at that one too. I sent them an email BEFORE Christmas and have not heard anything back yet! So much for rapid responses!
  4. With today's economy I think I would like to start charging for all of the smith work I do. I like helping people out, but I would also like to make a spare dollar here and there as well. Not to mention paying for/justifying all the $$$ in my shop! I've looked around the internet and everything I see appears to be some type of 'scam'. I'm sure there are some safe sites that offer a good kit to assist in getting one's FFL and gunsmith certs. Can someone recommend one please. I don't want a retail store or regular hours. I don't want to inventory tons of guns. What I really want
  5. +1 "Yeah... What he said." As I had stated in my "how-to" article I spoke with Clyde at great length about this issue. RAAC is VERY interested to know about, and to solve these issues. Give him a call. He's good people.
  6. Here is the link on how to fix your problems: http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showtopic=33836
  7. LMAO, I had a fucktard moment, that's what I get for beinng on the phone while typing my question. What I meant to say was "Any problems you can think of with mounting that to a side rail scope mount" Although there is no 'eye-relief' with a reflex type scope, they are generally mounted further from the eye than traditional scopes. I would suggest mounting the sight approximately where the existing rear sight is. Check out the picture thread on this forum for some ideas.
  8. It would work, but I can't image how you are going to hold the Saiga while sighting.
  9. Bump... I think my price is very reasonable. I paid exactly what I am asking for the gun and magazine... No profit. If you ever wanted a converted Saiga 12, here is your chance. Like the fast food commercial says: "Have it your way!" QUICK TURN-AROUND! JD
  10. Do you have a 19" IZ-109 or the longer IZ-107? It's going to be harder with a 19" barrel. You might try a hotter load, something with more velocity. Best bet is to get them soon as they launch. A 10/12 round mag or a drum should help too!
  11. I recommend a reflex or halo sight like the one I have pictured here. I have used them on 1911 competetion pistols, 10/22 plinkers and shotguns alike (awesome for clays!). VERY fast target acquisiton with both eyes open. Good in bright daylight or at night. You can get them with red and/or green lasers with adjustable reticles. Cost $30-$175 range. Make sure you get one that is made to handle a firearms recoil and not just for airsoft or archery.
  12. If the grip/nut/bolt combo is US made and marked, I'll take it.
  13. Make your own with a pair of pliers, a screwdriver and $1.50... Go to your local remote control hobby store (HobbyTown etc.) They will have a section that has spring steel rods in various lengths and diameters. (Not to mention brass, aluminum and various plactic pieces.) Find the right diameter rod you need. Should cost about $1.50. Use a screwdriver, socket wrench extension, or what ever metal shaft you can find of the proper diameter to use to wrap the spring steel around. trim to length with wire cutters. It may take a few tries to get it just right. For $1.50 you sho
  14. I'll take the Black Tapco pistol grip. (It's a SAW grip correct?) I'll take the Tapco polished FCG (4 items correct?). (Single or double?) (AK width or modded for a saiga with BHO?) Please PM with details. Thanks in advance. JD 8^)

  19. Try contacting him. He does CUSTOM work. I'm sure he can make you whatever you like.
  20. I LOVE my TRL-2. I suggest you get in touch with Cobra Custom's on this site. He sells a top rail like you need, plus he has done some custom rails for folks with SBS. I'm sure he can put together just what you are looking for. Look here: http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showtopic=31709
