  1. Thanks Everyone, Digging deeper I am now finding some restrictions regarding ammo. Supposedly anything, including FMJ, is not to have a steel core which includes most Russian surplus ammunition. I don't know of any affordable ammo for a Mosin or AK-74 that does not have a mild steel core. Is Virginia not particularly fond of ComBloc stuff in general or am reading this wrong?
  2. Thanks! A strange combination indeed and I thought it was so unusual that I was missing something. I wonder why they just didn't specify the Streetsweeper and be done with it. Too simple maybe. I guess the folder on my AK-74 with 30 round mags should be safe when I go to a range in VA.
  3. Does anyone in Virginia know why these two topics keep showing up in internet searches? I have read the VA laws and see no restrictions on magazine capacity or folding stocks.
  4. Losing a friend is always tough. Looks like you got some good pictures though. I have an entire folder on my hard drive with 13 years of pics and movies of my departed pet. Remember to back them up!
  5. It happened to me on both an S12 and 5.45 conversion. Just take some pliers as others have said and bend it towards the outside and everything will be fine. No need to replace the spring.
  6. Yes, a nut, bolt, and washer will work fine. The pistol grip nut has been a problem for me on 7.62 and 5.45 as it is located just under a rivet and I had to file it down both times. Maybe the .223 is similar to the S12 where it is in the open. Anyway, I found the standard pistol grip screw to be too long and narrow for the SAW grip. Hope this helps. The top pic is the nut and washer inside the receiver and the bottom one is a very bright flat head bolt and washer inside the grip.
