  1. Very nice, been thinking about a magwell. Count me in.
  2. So I finally got the parts together to convert my Saiga. I did form 1 SBS not long after I got it, just cut the barrel down to 12.5" and opened the gas ports some, 2 of the 3 ports were covered by the gas block so I fixed that and added a 4th. It runs low base sort of, not really reliable but I usually just shoot high base or buck/slugs so not a big deal. I kept it like that for a while now but recently got around to getting the last few parts to do the conversion. Here it is now. Chaos extended quad rail, MagPul VFG and rail covers, MD Arms Merlot grip and booster puck (still haven't
  3. You could order direct. I believe they are making them again. Halo MFG Personally I've got the Chaos extended quad rail and think it is pretty much the cats meow. I always wanted the halo quad rail with the integrated sights but when Chaos came out with their extended quad rails with sights the choice was easy for me.
  4. I don't expect it to happen but if it did I would be out $200 since mine is already a sbs. I could ask for a refund I guess, lol, unlikly
  5. There is an NFA section with tech articles about setting up a SBS. Cutting the barrel you will have to do something about the gas system to reliably cycle. NFA Section
  6. are you looking to build or buy?
  7. Yeah, I've read that thread but my form 1 went through a while back and I wanted to test it. Plus I didn't have then proper end mill for the larger hole size, I figured it was worth a shot and would indicate how much head room there is on the .113 port hole size.
  8. Corbin, I'm working on my 12" sbr, with the gas port in the factory position. I did a test firing this weekend with the 4 holes, .098" diameter. It would cycle high base stuff fine (as expected) but would not quite cycle low base. Usually the empty round would get caught and hold the bolt back, occasionally the bolt would be closed, hammer back, on the spent round. It looks like it cycles the action far enough to just hit the ejector most of the time. I'm using the factory puck and a Gunfixer plug. I'm going to try opening the ports up to .110" to see if that does the trick.
