  1. On a Saiga 20, 22". If I chop it to 18.5 or so, how much do I need ream out the gas ports? Is there a formula for this sort of thing; expand X for each inch of barrel, for example? I did do a search but didn't find anything relating specifically to port size. I assume there's already a tutorial on block removal and all that, but if you have a link handy it would be helpful.
  2. I would say that Single Action / Double Action is more confusing that semi auto. But semi auto seems pretty obvious to me.
  3. I know several people who own Hi Points and claim they are a very reliable firearm. Locally I could pick up a brand new 9mm for $149. Virtually all complaints I've heard are from people who have never had one. That said, I would never have one. And this is the first and only time I have ever heard a complaint about a Bersa.
  4. Where did you get that little yellow cheek rest?
  5. There's gun shows in San Fran?
  6. Ahhh, is it OK if I say I want a drum mag for a 20? Not trying to start anything but STOP TEASING US AND GIVE US OUR DRUM MAGS FOR OUR 20S! Please. I'm not too proud to beg.
  7. I'd say that if you already have an AR the best thing would be to stock up on ammo, mags and replacement parts. As a bonus it's way easier to find boxer primed brass to reload than x39. Then find yourself a sidearm. AK is the next obvious choice. SKS is a really nice little rifle. I consider them nearly perfect as they are and I'm not a promoter of modifying them. If you get the hang of the stripper clips they can be reloaded in no time. Saiga .308. Or look at a CETME if you want something a little different . I'm not a big fan but a lot of people really like them. I
  8. The gas piston on my x39 is fine but the gas tube has rust pockets in it. It's functional but since I need another 922 part to be legal I would rather replace a semi-damaged gas tube than a perfectly good piston. Any source for an American gas tube?
  9. Looking for the standard Saiga scope mount with rings. Good used condition is perfect but let me know what you have.
  10. Thanks, ordered a few compliance parts from Dinzag today. Figured ObamaDay was a good day to support your friendly neighborhood arms dealer.
  11. I have a round trunion x39 and I tried the steel pipe method for a bullet guide Once in place, the bolt carrier will not clear the homemade bullet guide, although it is close. I am willing to pay Dinzag to send me one but wanted to make sure that it will give me the extra clearance.
