I am looking for a full length original style US made handguard for my saiga .308 and am not having any luck. Everything I find is the quad rail style which I do not need/want. Thanks, that helps. Here are my thoughts after seeing what you pointed out which helps me to consider some calcs. The tube on the scope is 1 inch. The objective measures 2.2 inches per Vortex specs. My MOLOT mount is right on top of the receiver and the same height or slightly higher than the RSB. If I go with the .75 inch rings and add a half inch for half of the tube diameter I get 1.25 inches to the center of the scope. Half of the objective is 1.1 inches so the .75 inch rings will keep .15 inches in clearance. Two things: Do my calcs makes sense? Is .15 inches too littl

I have decided on a Vortex Diamondback 3.5-10 X 50 scope and Burris XTR Xtreme Tactical Rings for my .308. My question is how to determine the proper ring height to order this all at once. I want it as low as possible for cheek weld, but the 1/4" ring height would probably be too low for a 50 mm objective. Any suggestions? I have a 16" .308 converted with a MOLOT side mount.

I have done a search and looked for this, but have not fully found what I am looking for. I have a scope in mind, but am not sure of the mount. I want a centered and low side mount. The centered part is the item that I cannot fully get clarity on. I have heard people suggest the BP-02 and have seen pics of them off center. I have heard the same mix on the UTG 5th gen mounts. The only one that I have heard solid reviews on is the MOLOT. I am fine with the price point if it does what is says it will do, but do not want to pay double the price for the same thing. Any suggestions here

I just finished the conversion of my .308 and am ready to sight it in. This is my first .308 and I plan on using it on my first deer hunt in a few weeks. I know next to nothing about ammo. What is the best ammo to use for a 16 inch Saiga .308? I will be hunting whitetail deer if that helps.

I am converting my .308 and have a dinzag gastube and new kvar handguard. Any trick to getting the upper handguard installed onto the gas tube? Thanks
