  1. What you're seeing is a Saiga 100 chambered in a .308 and, as you pointed out, they are not the same thing at all. It's confusing, too, because apparently they both have 308-1 as a model number. I have a Saiga 100 and it is designed for hunting.   2. First time poster here, so if I'm in the wrong section, my mistake. I just got a Saiga 100 chambered in a .308 along with some Surefire 25-round magazines. Unfortunately, I didn't know beforehand that those magazines are not compatible. The Saiga 100 has a different locking mechanism for the magazine, so the 3-round magazines that come with it rock the opposite direction, have a different front lip, and different catch hooks on the back.
