  1. Might as well take the barrel shroud off as well. Also, go back to the factory mag, instead of the drum. Try to take out as many variables as you can. If it runs, add one element back at a time.
  2. Looks like a lot of weight was added to the front of the gun. That is usually a recipe for issues.
  3. Have you shot this thing since swapping barrels?
  4. I prefer a 19" folder. You can always buy a Molot AR folding mechanism if you don't like the folder. But, it's a log more difficult to change to a factory folder if you have a fixed stock. With the v12s at $800, right now is the best time in history to buy.
  5. What's wrong with my rendition in post #11? ;-)
  6. Try this on for size. You have to kinda squint to see it but that is a badass flat dark earth 8" SBS with a prototype double stack mag. Lol.
  7. I'd love to see the kits. Please take some photos when you get to view them.
  8. How many kits are you talking about? Where are they coming from? NOS or demilled kits? Parts are extremely rare. You're gonna need to provide info and evidence before anyone gets too excited around here.
  9. It's the S20 sub forum. Never been much love here. :-( They make neat holes. :-)
  10. Don't worry about the welds. Either one is simple to remove. Theyy just look different. The thing you should concern yourself with, if you want to add a AR stock to these, is the cost of the adapter. Your gonna have to cough up $200 for the factory AR folder adapter (the only one that is available to date). You can google Russiansurplus.net to see what I am talking about. If you want to use that canis AR adapter you'll have to track down one of the first imports that had a fixed stock rear trunnion installed.
  11. Not original, but if you need a floor plate then these might work. http://www.vepr.org/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=2011
  12. Well, there goes whatever remains of my checking account.
  13. Is this causing problems for you?

    Saiga FTF.

Well, that's a new one on me. Good luck.
  16. I'm going with this as it is coming from a guy that probably knows more about plastic/polymer mags than anyone else on this forum.
  17. Here's where RJF cut mine. Of course, you can see the issues of doing it like this. A small part of the op rod was left in place. This gets beat to shit. It doesn't take long for the threads to start to come apart. Eventually the carrier cracked. I'm glad R&R makes new carriers. After all the hell with this gun I would never do it again. Ymmv. If I were to do another, I would not go that short with the gas system. Tromix sells a short op rod. I would go with one of those and use whatever barrel length they recommend with that short rod.
  18. Without seeing the gun I'd have to guess that the factory mags just need a hair of break-in to work properly. Can you feel the latch bottoming out on the metal feed lip? If so, you might just have to actuate the latch a few times back and forth to wear in the plastic. You might have left a hair too much material on the latch which would make it not close all the way. On the SGM's, my guess would be that your magwell opening in the receiver is a bit tight and is causing the sides of the mag's walls to pinch a bit. This creates drag on the follower and then FTFeed. Fully insert an empty m
  19. Some fucktard jihadist may take a potshot at us if the right opportunity presents itself. But I don't think we're going to be running for the hills because there are Russians or Norks falling from the sky. Even those two crazy fucks respect our power enough not to go there.
