Bummer, page not found. ARFCom must be down. IIRC, individuals have experimented with M14 & FAL mags, with M14s being prefered. Modifying the gun to fit the mag is still acceptable but watch your US parts count. That's how we could pull off the MPA 971.

The SWD Street Sweeper & Penn Arms Striker 12 are mechanically & functionally identical. Both are spring driven drum feed, indexed & fired by a double action mechanism. The only pumping required is to empty the drum, one round at a time. Neither is really a practical design, they're more of a throw down assault weapon. Appearance wise, they look cool, but hopefully you wouldn't need to fire more than 12 shots in a defence situation. If you did, you should pull another weapon.

I've seen quite a few 8rd S12 mags in Fla, & non of them were stamped "Law Enforcement Only". That's probably being done by EAA.

The Chinese 75rd drums are actual military issue, while the 100rd drums are commercial models made for export to US. There are other variations for other applications, such as 90rds .223 for Galil & PolyTech, 120rd .223 for AR15/M16, & 75rd for 7.62x39mm Colt Sporter. Not to mention USA Mags conversion of 75rd AK drum to SKS T56.

In Georgia, a lot of guys have specially preparared turkey shoot guns, extralong barrel w/ extra full choke 3 1/2 chambers too. If speed was an issue, the Saiga-12 would rule!

According to Don P. Formerly of Kalashnikov USA, the Bulgy .223 30rd mags fit & function out of the box with recently imported guns. I don't know personally, but he's usually right.

What did they go for? Put me in for a second chance, if the first guy doesn't come through! Thanks!

The buffer pad for short AK stocks!

That's a cool accessory. I've never seen one for the solid buttstock before, just for the krink style stock. The krink style has a strap, to hold it on the buttstock. Now I need an AK with a solid buttstock. Keep 'em coming! -
Hey Sheik! Are you in the Atl area & do I know you? I'm Cleetus on RPB's catalog & also picking up on Thursday. I didn't mean to hijack the thread. Back to the issue, Don at Gator Guns, formerly at Kalashnikov USA told me that that the new .223's have a feed ramp & work fine with Bulgy waffles.

DOH! I forgot to test my weapon with the 00buck on the #1 gas setting! I guess I'll have to go shooting again.

I finally went shooting yesterday. Mostly practiced speed shooting with WallyWorld big box o' #7 1/2 shot & S&B 00Buck. No hiccups or failures. The darn thing will bump fire too, but I could only do 3rd bursts. Not 2rd or 4-5rds. It's only slightly faster than speed shooting. I'll add an M60 style sling & try again. The special application ammo is low pressure & won't cycle the action, but I made a surprise discovery. The DefTec (marking) baton I used was given to me as a 'paint' marking round, even though it is marked practice. It turns out to be a zytel fin stabilized baton.

I saw the Valtro shotgun at the Shot Show in Orlando last winter. They had the Gun Test reports on hand. They also had 7 or 8 rd mags in the shotgun. I asked them if it was legal to import like that & they said they didn't know. Kind of funny, an asian guy selling a Spanish gun to an American market, totally unaware of the '94 awb.

You know, I hadn't shot it since I did the conversion. I've only got a couple of different loads, 00buck, 7 1/2, S&B rubber ball, Def Tec Rubber Baton & Paint marking Baton. I'll compare it with a friends 22" Saiga-12.

The older 'Dragon's Breath' was a thermite round, which ignited in the barrel. It would really mess up a semi shotgun. I always had a junker break action single shot for shooting 'Dragon's Breath'(APA-Fun Ammo) or 'Red Skeet'(Summit Ammo), depending on who made it & what they called it. I know someone who gummed up a Super 90 M1 with it. Tough to clean out. Oh, I used to sell it, too. As a gunshow dealer.
