  1. What if it was given or inherited, and he or she, is not a gun person? Although highly unlikely it's a female with a username like Impala454s.
  2. how much per mag? Did you send yours to modify, or buy them that way?
  3. Its too late to inquire about it now. Just wait a while and find out first hand. Report back with your results once you do.
  4. The number of ports has nothing to do with how well the gun works, and longer barrels can get away with less total gas porting than shorter barrels. In fact, two of my friends have S-12's with only two ports, and they work flawlessly. It was my three port that was not completely drilled all the way through, that was the first problematic gun they ever saw. When it comes down to it, there can also be a thing as too much porting. I would rather have a S-12 with too little porting, and open them up some, than have one ported to death and be a battering ram to my reciever when shooting the hea

    WTF!!!!!

I figured that my statements would touch on a few nerves. Don't get me wrong, I whole heartedly agree that a firearm that eats everything reliably, is preferable to one that is ammo selective, but I still refer you back to this weapons original design and purpose. Although they are marketed to the civilian world now, I don't think that marketing trumps design for the true value of a product. Since this forum seems to be a great resource for an aspiring purchaser of a new S-12, I really felt that my statement would bolster the reputation of this fine weapon. It was starting to sound like th

    WTF!!!!!

I know that in a perfect world, a neat little weapon like our Saiga 12's would cycle all ammo like a champ. Outside of the obvious manufacturing shortcomings that must be addressed, we jump through many a hoop trying to make this weapon as reliable as possible, and possibly even feed the lightest of (bird-shot) loads. There are even some among us that have the know-how to manipulate this cold steel in a way to accomplish this lofty goal. Why lofty, I say? Simple; this is not a perfect world, this is a world infatuated with war, and we own a piece of that legacy. Along these lines (in most

  8. gas tube bent or deformed, puck does not slide freely and or destroys puck seal - puck too small in diameter, destroys puck seal - hole in gas tube, releases pressure - do the four holes go completely through the barrel? - have you shortened the barrel? - regulator cap very loose, releases pressure - regulator cap has a hole or crack in it - releases pressure
  9. Does anyone import this magwell?
  10. I think you should build it. As long as they look good, they probably have a chance at selling because lets be honest, half of the people around here have come to the conclusion that most of the barrel furniture available for shotguns are little more than ways to dress them up. Along that vein (vain), the more choices out there, the better, so I vote do it. After testing, it may turn out to be the best thing since sliced bread when it comes to adding that final bit of control to the escaping gas bubble as the payload exits. Tightening groups and stablizing sabots as well. On the othe
  11. I agree in making a gun all that it can be, but lets be serious here guys; balance, creep, poundage, and any other trigger pulling arguement you can come up with is crap. These are not 500 yard precision sniper rifles, they are shotguns. Point it over there, pull the trigger, and blow away whats over there. I am willing to bet that over 90% of you guys just wail out rounds as fast as you can pull the trigger. Unless you are shooting a (longer than anything ever to be confused with tactical) rifled barrel, at targets 100 yards away, I doubt that you are getting any benefit from any of the i
  12. I agree, gas port work is far more hair-raising than a conversion.
