  1. I drove by last week. The address is a small former home turned office building. There's a sign out front listing several buisnesses and the drive way seemed to lead to a large parking lot behind the building. There may be more to it than what can be seen from the street but, I didn't see too much.
  2. I'm on Preston everyday on the way to UPS. 3027 is bit further down than I normally venture but, that's too close by to not have a look.

  3. Hey, I looked up the location for Mercury-Hermes, the new Saiga importer. It is at 3027 Preston Hwy #104, L-ville 40217, phone 502-435-7844. The place is on Preston between Eatern Parkway and the Watterson. Kinda dumpy neighborhood. I will do a drive-by this weekend and see if anyone is 'home'.

  4. I started with a Tapco stock. Never fired the gun with it either. I swapped it out for an ACE stock with external mounting block and folding mechanism almost immediatly. I just wasn't happy with it. After shooting with the external block and the hassle involved (it kept coming loose) I decided, to hell with it, I was going to get an internal block and chop the tang. Got the part in the mail, took a hacksaw to the tang, a little dremel action, some finish filing, a shot of spray paint, bolted the block in and was good to go in about an hour. I couldn't be happier. The internal block with a
  5. Whoa, $50 to $300 for a transfer? You are being robbed AND beaten.
  6. Persistent little thing. Seemed a little confused by the taste of boot.
  7. Do you still want it? I may be willing to take it off your hands (or at least borrow [postage paid] it and see if I can get it to run). Shoot me a PM.

You know they're bolt action right? Aside from the round count, it seems worse than the old Master Key in terms of size and ease of use.
  9. You'll have to remove some material most likely. I didn't order a tapco plate but, I did order a rifle plate for mine and I ended up having to file out the hole for the safety and grind off a portion of the top so that it fit under the carrier rails. Of course, you could just buy one meant for the shotgun but, where's the fun in that?
  10. Agreed. My gun works so, personally, I don't see after market plugs as a fix for anything. I see them as more of an accessory. I just happen to like the idea behind this one. Not enough to drop $120 on it right now though.
  11. Yeah your right, it's so awesome I should buy 40 of them right now. My enthusiasm was a side effect of being liberal with some alcohol. I didn't say I wanted this thing and I didn't say I'd pay that much for it. I said it was a good idea. You can't adjust the stock plug without a tool. That's not subjective, that's a fact. While it may be fine for you and your shooting style, it may not be satisfactory for others. When I blast through 30 slugs and want to change it up to cheapo birdshot or vice versa, the gas plug can be a little hard to turn. Sometimes I even have to use a tool
  12. You guys clearly aren't seeing what it is and how good it could be. Look at it closely, the chromed section, the top adjustment knob, and that screw all fit together and float around the central threaded section. It's clearly designed to do away with fouling binding up the adjustment because the threads aren't used in it's adjustment. You don't have to worry about how many turns it goes in or any of that, you just screw it in and it's ready to go. In theory, you'd never have to unscrew it again. I really can't explain it in words very well but it seems like a great idea.
  13. I think it may be worth pointing out that the chrome used on gun and machine parts is not the same kind of chrome that comes on your car "rims". You can't just take it to any old chrome shop, you need someone that specializes in hard chrome.
