My vote is for the convenient lengths of the 5-8 round mags. The ten round mags are pushing the too long envelope for maneuverability, and I don't and wouldn't own any 12 round sticks, but I do have a few drums for the SHTF event, and will consider myself lucky to empty the drum.

....If he was bidding on a Gov. contract for a dbl. stack, quite possibly he's restricted in communications or allowing the design to go public.... A dbl/ stack IS a good idea and would make the firearm much more manueverable and compact...

Hey all... I just picked up 2 Saigas, a 5.45 and a 7.62x39. I want to do the trigger and misc. conversion to be 922 compliant. My question is... being that the Vepr FCG is more finished and polished, can its FCG be used in the Saiga for a better trigger feel? Are they interchangeable?

....I just ordered a Saiga12 drum from the MD site....didn't see any DS mags advertised yet.... but at least the drums are available till the big "O" and his darling Feinstein have their way....

Great input on the shell measurements,as I just bought the MD20, but I'm not sure how accurate brand "B" 12/25 ft. measuring tape will represent consistantly when we're talking .242?..... maybe at least a 6" pocket scale might be alittle more accurate.... if not a micrometer.... No? ...So is there a master updated list available? ... I mean 2.42
