Though I don't have a flash suppressor, I know you'll won't be able to shoot at night without it. At dusk, I still get blinded for about 3 seconds with my 19". Looks like a flame thrower. Ideally, a good flash suppressor should direct the flame blast down and to the sides leaving you main field of vision intact.

I started but have not finished the front retainer. I don't really like the AMD grip with my SAW grip but another saw grip would be too bulky on the front.

Mine works fine, and I did the modification w/o any guidance. I am the original poster to this mod on gunsnet that then drifted its way here. I'm not sure why some mags would have a misfeed problem with this mod.
