  1. Evidently you are more trust worthy sounding. I am sending it in for a replacement.
  2. Last night I installed the folding stock on my Saiga 12 that had been gone for months getting work done. The Ace hinge seemed very loose after opening and closing a few times. Upon examination the hinge pin had dropped far enough to disengage at the top. WTF?? I tapped it back into place with a plastic hammer and tried it again. Same deal. Every time I open and close the stock the pin starts dropping. What is supposed to hold the pin in? Did I miss a step or do I have a defective hinge? Naturally this all happened about midnight so I could not call anyone.
  3. Someone spoke of Remington standards slipping. Perhaps but show me a product that is made better today than it was in days of yore. The much vaunted Mossberg 930 SPX has so many QC problems I recently passed on one. I like the ghost ring sight but the front sight was canted to one side, to the left on this one. Brand new never fired it is going to cause someone to need to either send it back or exchange the barrel. I have also read multiple accounts of people stripping out the front screw on the rail. Perhaps they should have put a helicoil in the aluminum receiver. At $600+ dollars
  4. You have probably figured out how the bolt goes in the carrier. The kind of squared off protrusion goes into the slot on the carrier. The hammer must be cocked. Put the bolt in with the protrusion going into the slot, rotate it forward. There is only one spot where the carrier will go down and be in it's proper position. Have the Bolt in the carrier in it's forward most position. The Rear of the carrier should be at the rear of the receiver. You've done this a couple of dozen time right? But it just won't go all the way forward, it hangs up. Here is what happens, the hammer agai
  5. Did you use a retainer plate? If you did then you probably need to fit it. I had to do that on both of the ones I converted.

You could always put it in your attic for a couple of weeks. I have a couple of shotguns that need to be refinished and that is my plan. On a really hot day the attic can potentially get to 150 degrees or so the attic fan people say. I am thinking a couple of weeks of that should fully cure anything that does not require baking.
  7. How resistant to something simple like Hoppes #9 are the duplicolor paints?
  8. Why the 500 not the 1200? The 1200 says it is solvent resistant.
  9. Y'all can count SC in... http://www.scstatehouse.gov/sess118_2009-2010/bills/794.htm
  10. Fishing line worked better for me than floss but I am kind of ham handed... If you are using a retaining plate and not a shepherds hook you might need to fit it. Try it before you put all the guts in. I highly recommend the BHO mod.
  11. I received a Nato length stock from K-Var two days ago that I ordered last week.
  12. Just an old mans opinion but I liked it better with one skull.
