  1. Well just wanted to thank everyone on this site!!!! I have been lurking around here for about a year now and as a result just finished my first build. Below is a list of the parts I used for this conversion. KROSS tri-rail TROMIX diy trigger guard and trigger group TAPCO saw grip OD MAGNOLIA STATE ARMORY internal stock adapter ACE folding block w/ar15 interface MAGPUL moe stock and rail covers (mil-spec) CMMT extension tube (mil-spec) AGP mag 10 round SIG saw foregrip SUREFIRE led light 6P DPMS ambidexterious sling mount BRING ON THE ZOMBIES!!!
  2. I ordered mine as well. My first S12 build is complete and runs like a champ. Once I get the rail on some pics will be posted.
  3. That is a great price from Centerfire!!!!! My family has ordered two Saigas from Centerfire and both purchases went smoothly. I paid $549.00 shipped for my 12 I say Centerfire but since both dealers are receiving good feedback I can't see you going wrong with either.
  4. Hey Tony, I also purchased your Saiga 12 fire control group from Carolinas Shooting Supply and noticed it is ground incorrectly. Can I send this one back and get a replacement? It is brand new as I have not started my conversion yet. I tried to shoot you a PM but received a message saying unable to send. I can provide a receipt and pictures so keep me posted!!! Thanks
  5. I will be buying this pistol grip mount and install a Surefire G2 LED light. Still waiting on parts to finish my conversion so I can't test anything until it gets done. Here is the link http://www.fab-defense.com/en/category-fla...ght-holder.html
  6. I too was going to get one of these but until a find a good smith I will not. The barrel ID and OD are not lined up perfect on these guns. When you install the choke it may affect your point of impact when shooting. There was a post somewhere in this forum about it. Guy installed one and his "new" point of impact was 6" to the right!!!!!!! search for polychoke and you should find it a good smith would have to machine your barrel and cut new threads
  7. Converting my Saiga 12 and would like to know if this ACE brand AR-15 grip adapter is compatible with the Tromix DIY trigger guard or the trigger guard manufactured by SaigaTech. I would be totally happy with the SAW pistol grip if the OD green color matches a MagPul CTR stock in OD green. If you have this combo and the color matches let me know. If not then I would like to install a MagPul AR-15 grip in OD green. Thanks in advance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AR Grip Adapter for AK Type Rifles. Injection molded from high impact black plastic. Use your favorite AR grip on you
  8. I could PayPal you $65.00 shipped if you don't get any takers at your current price. Thanks
  9. I plan on getting the same stock but you are missing a few parts for your conversion. I will be buying this folder as it will eliminate the need for the Ace "pig nose" adapter. http://riflestocks.com/catalog/product_inf...products_id=324 You also still need a means of attaching this stuff so you have also have to buy an internal receiver block. The internal block requires you to do the pistol grip conversion. I ordered my internal block from this guy as it appears to be better than the Ace unit. Have not got it yet so I can't commet on quality but looks like it will be a solid unit. h
  10. Not interested in building an SBR just want to know the pro/cons of putting a folding MagPul CRT stock on using an ACE internal block. That is really the only mod I would like to make. I do a fair amount of hunting and such so I am not a firearms noob just an AK/Saiga one. I live in Florida and could not be paid enough to move to CA.
  11. I called Tapco today and was told the stock has been updated and now includes a stronger steel pin. The angle has also been changed and now points down a few degrees lower. Question is will this fit? Tapco says no as it is designed to fit the AK. Is the rear of an AK receiver the same as the Siaga 12 ??????????
  12. So the AK-47 receiver is identical to the Saiga 12 receiver???
  13. The website says the hand guard won't fit but will this folding stock fit??? The folder can be had for about $45.00 so it would make for a really cheap/fast conversion if it does. http://www.tapco.com/proddesc.aspx?Id=1b55...2f-c3debff846ba If you use this one please chime in Thanks
  14. I have made a decision on how I would like my first build to turn out. Just need some advice on attaching a Magpul CRT folding stock. If I use the ACE AK internal block will the outcome produce an odd stock angle? It would be great if someone could post a pic using the ACE block on the Magpul CRT stock. I would like this project to be a DIY but would like to see how it would look prior to the build. The one in the pic was produced by E-TAC but I have no idea what parts were used (bad a$$ btw) I don't have access to a welder at this time but will consider a "Tromix" weld in plate if that's
