  7. Someone a while back posted a picture of their non-semi-auto Saiga shotgun. I think he stated that he was from France. This isn't the post but it is similar http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showto...entry2091
  8. --><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(G O B @ Aug 30 2006, 05:49 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec--> No matter how many times we post the rulings, laws, and regulations--some moron always thinks they can get whatever they want. If it is a shotgun and semi-auto it cannot have a NLFD. Period. That is the cold hard facts. Accept it and get on with life. What you do in the privacy of your own home is your own buisness. However if your belligerent stupidity gets my my Saiga ruled illegal I reserve the right to use it ON you before surrend
  9. If you want to see Barnaul, Silver Bear, or Golden Bear 12 gauge buckshot loadings imported email this address sales@dkgtrading.com If they get enough emails, they might hurry up and import some more steel cased shells. http://www.dkgtrading.com/bearammo/index.html The steel cased shells should have no-problem being pressed against the bolt for long periods of time. Plastic shells seem to deform.
  10. Yeah I know about the receiver differences. A little grinding will cure that issue.
  11. Mayor Ray Nagin officially certifies this thread as a disaster area.
  12. This is BATFE BS. They cannot write law - which is precisely what they're doing with the parts-kit ban. A barrel does not make a rifle. The law is clear in what it states - and the BATFE hates the idea that firearm laws are sometimes worked around. By legal definition, the receiver is a firearm. That's the standard in the U.S., and should be the standard for imports. If this is a point of contention - that would be pretty disgusting by the Feds. If barrels, trunions and whatnot are attached to the receiver - it, as a whole, is a firearm. Therefore, the configuration of such rifle can be sporti
  13. I emailed them and they replied the same shit that is stated on their page. This is very disturbing.
  14. http://www.knoxx.com/NewStyleKnoxx/Company/LegalIssues.htm Federal law does restrict the installation of our products on semi-auto shotguns or those manufactured outside the United States. Doing so would constitute a federal felony with a hefty fine and prison sentence attached. Therefore, all of our products are designed in such a way as to prevent their installation on any semi-auto shotgun. I wish he would post his source. That is screwed up. I know he is refering to the sidewinder drum which is discontinued. I just do not see where he gets this idea though. Updated: 06/1

  18. I agree 100 % parts must be swapped out to technically be compliant. By the way, a picture of the new surefire converted AK mags for saigas. http://www.gunsamerica.com/guns/976575241.htm
  19. Wow long thread and soo many have no clue. Let me start out by saying the import laws are still in effect. Regardless of the assult weapon ban ending, import laws are still alive theres no disputing that. The topic started is based on the 1968 Gun Control Act and it's extensions. Between 1989 and 1994, major changes were made regarding the importability of semi-automatic rifles and shotguns. The issues then were mostly cosmetic (militarized). People still killed other people like always, but politicians felt they could earn brownie points with their anti-gun special interests by disqualif
  20. It cause me to have a probloem with my favorite winchester turkey loads but I have since switched to leaving brass cased ammo in the loaded magazine. I think that taking out one shell would probably alleviate the problem as well but those squashed oval shotgun shells don't inspire confidence do they? Where are you finding brass cased ammo? What brand? How much?
  21. Refering to this? http://www.theboxotruth.com/docs/edu18.htm Ar15s with 5.56 nato chambers also have problems with wolf .223. So either chamber size doesnt keep it from causing a problem.
