  1. Holy crap! YOU ARE THE MAN! Thank you.
  2. Using the Remington Shoot free ballistics program I downloaded, I figured that a 190yd zero range with the 7.62x39 will shoot 3 inches high at 100yds and won't drop to 3 inches below zero until about 225yds, so that gives you a "point-blank range" of 225yds with a 190yd zero. If you draw a 6 inch diameter circle on your chest you will see that if you within 3 inches high or low of where you're aiming if you are aiming for the center of mass of a badguy, you'll be fine out to 225yds. Hope that was helpful! Thank you both! Exactly what I was looking for!
  3. Recently obtained a Saiga 7.62 and am hoping to get some input from the forum here. At what range would you recommend I sight the rifle in at? Once sighted in at that range, would point of aim and point of impact converge anywhere else? At other standard ranges (ie every 100 yards), how high or low would the bullet impact? What is the maximum effective range? Any and all help would be appreciated. Thanks.
  4. Just shot off an email to Mr. B himself. Hopefully he can read English. I'll let you know what he says. Thanks again, Bvamp. How the hell did you figure it out?
  5. Bvamp, you are DA MAN! Now it's just a matter of finding them. Thanks!
  6. Some of you may remember that a few weeks back, I got a no-name 12ga shotgun mag off egay for $15. It finally arrived, and I'll do my best to post pics here. It doesn't fit Saiga or Valtro, but would be TOOOOOOO easy to convert to Saiga. Only problem is, I don't know what the hell it is! On the left-hand side, in the lower, right-hand corner, there is a swan logo with a triangle beneath it. The initials "VBG" (Very Big Gun???) are inside the triangle. On the back of the mag, the numbers "1440" are stamped. Holds 4 rounds, as is, but is metal and could be "limo'd" pretty easily. A
  7. Brand new / never fired. Factory direct from Glock. You pay $50, I pay s&h. Will also trade for a 5-rd Saiga 12 mag or three 30-rd Cobray 9mm (not ball detent) mags or three 30-rd AR .223 mags.
  8. AKS 74 AKS 74 gave me a great deal on three Valtro 12ga magazines. TheHomelandSoldier TheHomelandSoldier hooked me up with three AR-15 magazines. Both these guys couldn't have been easier to deal with. I would highly recommend either or both of them. The prices were more than fair, shipping was fast and safe. Can't say enough good stuff about them. Thanks guys!!!!
  9. You could make a gear shift knob out of the Saiga stock
  10. Caspian, you are the man! I'd like to go ahead a pre-order now. Can you put me down for 5 of these if the price is right? Why don't you send an 8 rounder? I'd like to offer to send you one.
  11. Yeah, the $60 seems insane, but wait until the auction is over!!!!!!!!!
  12. There's one on ebay right now. About $165 I think.
  13. I got the PM-11. Only two differences are the M has a threaded barrel and the PM does not, and the PM originally came with a "ball detent" mag catch. As far as differences between the M/PM and the SMG (FA), I don't know. I've been doing quite a bit of research the last couple days on the M/PM. Seems like the biggest complaint is failure to feed, especially in the PM. I guess it's due to the ball detent system. Per Cobray, this was a design flaw implemented in an attempt to have the gun legal in Cali. For about $50, I got the four M parts to put the "old style" mag catch in. Seems like
  14. Absolutely. I got one off auctionarms.com for $200. It's from a gunsmith who sells fixeruppers to support a cancer-sniffing-k9 program. This one supposedly just needed the magazine catch. Spoke with Harvey at Cobray yesterday -- awesome guy -- and he sold me the catch, catch pin, catch spring and grip. That'll get rid of the entire post-ban "ball detent" mag catch, which I guess is a P.O.S. I've been seeing some kick ass m-11's with AR-15 stocks and carbine barrels.
