  1. i have had a saiga 12(full length) that i converted a few years ago. i would like to send it to a shop to dial it in. it still wont eat cheap ammo. i would also like to have them tune my drum a little better. any suggestions? thanks in advance.
  2. i took my s12 out to the trap range and shot with some friends. i used my 21" 870 and shot a 20. then me and 2 other guys shot a second round and i used the s12. its alot of work to run it as a single shot. by time i had it ready they were waiting for me. but even in a rush i shot a 17. this was only the second time i shot the s12. the first time was a few rounds to see it it was working. i know that choke tube is in there straight. thanks steve for the great work.
  3. who was this directed at? if it was me i had emailed them 3 times with no responses.
  4. i just got off the phone with maa. they are taking care of the exchage now and even offered to upgrade the shipping since the wait was so long. maybe they seen my post or they just wanted to make things right. either way i am happy to have my handguard on the way. i know running a business its hard to please every one. thanks maa for taking care of me.
  5. ya know i cant remember. i think it was $60 plus choke tubes. to will need to email them for an official quote. the email was in my first post.
  6. i am not saying maa is bad in general but my experience has been bad with them. they sent out the wrong handguard to me(no big deal). i ordered was on the invoice but i received the incorrect part. i emailed them and after after a few days i was sent a return label. i had asked to exchange a grip that was not what it looked like on the online store(looked like it was closer to the trigger than it actually is). i never got a reply so i tossed it in the box and asked to exchange it for another surefire. the last i heard from mma was march 18th. i have emailed 3 times since with no r
  7. how long are these? overall and added length to barrel?
  8. try contacting guncat on this board. he can set it up for a removable choke system.
  9. hey guys, i got in touch with steve at rose action sports. i had him ream and thread my saiga 12 for a tru choke. we were going to use rem chokes but the minor thread diameter would have been too small and the threads would be very weak. so steve cut off the flat before the threads(od too small). its still over 18". reamed it and threaded for a tru choke. installed the modified choke tube. he then cut a releif in the thread protector so it will screw on flush again with the barrel. it came out great. and the best part is he got use mine to set up a jig for you guys to have yours do
  10. thats great. it should be a sticky. i just used a virgin ak receiver and scribed the hole.
  11. I would be very interested in seeing a pic of your mods. Did you use rivets to attach? sorry, no pics at this time. i did rivet it on. i have a little more material on mine than the s12. i may file it down more. not sure yet.
  12. i have installed one of these trigger guards. i wanted the original look for my s12. i filed the extra material down to leave a smaller support by the rivets. i didnt see the saiga selector stop or pistol grip nut. great products! i ground down a standard 4 hole selector stop plate and used a pg reinforcement plate. i made the hole for the pg nut. use the original hole to the rear of the trigger opening. then line up the trigger guard straight. mark the holes and drill. wasnt hard at all. worked out nice. it is far enough back that you have plenty of room to hit the mag release. e
