  1. Sorry I didn't keep up the thread but been kindof busy. You guys figured out what I was saying though. Skeleton stock, Ace foam tube and knock out the rear pins which are in there very tight. The pins are non-directional so either way to get them out. Don't mess w/ the roll pin in the front. Use WD-40 to help slide on the tube and don't stop once you start sliding it on. The vertical post just sits in a hole so cut a little hole in the foaming and reassemble. Per Ace support. We'll see, if I bend the next punch then I may just forget about it. jb
  2. I have an Ace stock and I ordered the foam tube that goes over the top rail of it but I can't figure out how to install it. I really don't want to cut a slit in the foamy and just slide it over the tube. I've bent three punches trying to knock out the pin on the butt plate and the roll pin on the front plate. I'm heading down to Ace Hardware and getting some better punches tomorrow unless someone here has a better idea. I don't want to destroy this very expensive thing putting on a $5 foamy. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jim Hummmm - maybe I'll just call them and as
  3. I was one of those that bought the Saiga pro mags as soon as they came out. I later read some posts and found out that the BHO part of the mag was not intentional. So I called Pro Mag up, spoke w/ the office manager and sent my three 10 rounders back via UPS of which PM picked up the tab. That was around two months ago. I wanted to see how they would treat me so I delibertly left them alone, never called once. Today, I get a UPS package from Pro Mag w/ three 10 rounders in it. I don't know how much re-engineering was done but I'm sure they are different mags then the ones I sent in. I h
  4. I know I'm bumping up an old post but I thought some may like this information. I received my order from Ace on May 11 = 7 weeks after the order. I figured out how to assemble it from a pic I printed from their web site. Instructions would have been helpfull but not nearly as gratifying. When I post a pic of the S12 you'all can tell me what I've assembled wrong. I had some left over screws also. Net result is no problems except that it arrived on the one day my wife was home sick. Totally busted.
  5. My bad. I ordered from saigastock.com
  6. I also ordered direct from Polychoke. This site had a bunch just a couple of weeks ago but now zip.
  7. I took the S12 out for the first time expecting problems. I wanted to see what I had b/f I started fixing things. I had FTE mostly (most were stove pipes while some didn't make it that far out). I did however have some FTF. A new shell loaded fine but the hammer didn't cock. So I'd pull the bolt back part way and I was good to fire then. I don't understand how this is possible since the bolt travels past cocking the hammer to load the next shell. This is a three port gun and all three are nice and open made Sept 08. I was using the Win. 100rd value pack. I probably had 20% work fine.
  8. I ordered my side folder from Ace knowing it'd probably take a long while to get. It's what I want and a year from now I most likely will not mind the wait. If I ordered something that I didn't exactly want just to get it now, I'd be pissed at myself in a year for years to come. (been there, done that already).
  9. I'm such an idiot. I ordered 3 promags from Classic the first day they listed them for about $15 more than Ajax has them listed now and I still have to fix the follower. I used to think Classic was fair on pricing but since the new owners the prices seem to have trended up. Live and learn.
  10. I just like the Ace stock better. I like the bent tubing look. And, I could order it 9.5" plus an inch recoil pad. I have big ole' long monkey arms so even on a folding stock I like it to be as long as possible.
  11. Well it looks like I'm the sucker to find out. I went ahead and ordered the folding stock that you linked to from Ace. I called cust service to find out which way the folder folds with no problems. (swings either way, not me - the stock). I ordered on the same call so we'll see. The web site only mentions visa/mastercard but they take discover as well. So far no problems.
  12. I know I'm late getting into the game and most of the cool accessories are sold out so I could use some help. I've been looking a lot w/ no sucess. Are there any non-conversion pistol grip folding stocks for a S12 out there to be found? I could get a m4 adjustable stock in the $70 range from a lot of web sites but not the folding version. Thanks for any direction you can offer.
  13. I'd like to buy a Poly Choke II for my Saiga-12. Thanks. Jim
