  1. the latch directly in front of the trigger is the original factory BHO. The button directly in front of the stock is the button that holds it in the locked position, and yes, the latch in front of the magwell is what holds it in the locked position.
  2. the description said that it was a conversion, so i guess it isnt original. the flash hider still makes me wonder though...
  3. HOOOOOOLLLDDD ON A SEC!!!! does this mean that they are now importing FACTORY PG configurations????? I mean, it says a converted one at the top of the thread, but that is the factory Izhmash flash hider on the end. i may be mistaken though...
  4. hey tony, is there any way that you could do the pg conversion using the standard AK trigger guard instead of yours for the 350? i dunno what it is, but im more attracted to the old style. thanks Griz
  5. do they have complete wood stock sets? i would love a wood stock and forend for my saiga
  6. I use an sks sling. they are pretty good and work with the small sling mounts of the saiga. usually $5 or less at gun shows heres one right here. http://www.cdnninvestments.com/akslgrnewch.html
  7. 308 romak??? ive never seen or heard of these. do you have a link or something? that might be somthing i would be interested in...
  8. it looks like it would work, you also might try a thermold m-14 mag. they are 30 bucks and arent that rare. plus that is the mag that is most widely converted. you might give it a try. here is a link where to buy them http://grizzlymike.com/accessories/magazines/Thermold.html
  9. it could also be done by drifting out the pins on the fsb, sliding it down the barrel away from the muzzle, re-drilling pin-grooves, and then threading the barrel for the appropriate measure for the vortex. waaaaayyyy more work and messing around than i want to do.
  10. the 9-13 is better for prone shooting, the 6-9 is better for benchrest
  11. i have a 9-13 under the barrel, and i have one of rick's vortex style flash hiders, and it works fine for me. no melting or anything. you would have no problem with a 6-9
  12. on mine the front site block is pinned on, not dimpled. that is how rick-16 was able to make pin-on flash hiders and thread adapters
  13. there are also the rails on the follower that need to be trimmed. be very carevul with this, however, because if you cut off too much, the follower wont slide on the rails anymore and wont feed properly. there is nearly enough room in the mag for 9, so if you want to increase the capacity, i would suggest taking plastic off bit by but so just 10 fits perfectly with no overtravel in the follower. hope this helps-- Griz
  14. The new importer already exists and their web site is completely up and running; they have a list of distrinutors who should be recieving new shipments in a couple weeks. www.raacfirearms.com
  15. The SA is some of the most accurate surplus you can get. it is accurate and corrosion free. you may or may not have a little trouble feeding it through a bolt gun tho; the brass swells in my remington 700
