  1. how much $ & where did ya get it?
  2. I was researching this very thing today. I can only find two options for co-witness: mounting a small red dot unit on the Ultimak handguard, or using the Larue Iron Dot, which replaces the rear site and mounts in its place with a combined red dot/iron sight. The problem with the former option, as I understand, is that many people complain that sustained firing heats up the red dot unit too much. Just want I want to do, fry a $600 Aimpoint! Uh, maybe not. As far as the second option goes, I didn't like the fact that you lose the ability to adjust elevation with the replacement back iron sight.
  3. knowing this forum its already been asked but I'm looking at my options for red dot optics and I was wondering if its truly better to co-witness a red dot into the iron sights or if it would be just as effective to say have a good quick detach that retained zero if something like the batteries went dead. the obvious con would be having to carry the dead optic around with you. but I guess my main thing is that I'm not a huge fan of having the red dot mounted to the gas tube, which seems to be my only option for co-witness.
  4. just another pic for shits and gigs until I get my 223 done.
  5. Ive seen a left side charge AK somewhere, that would help a little. but yeah the pump would probably be the fastest you could get with that shitty law.
  6. Well,,,what a surprise!...i was just browsing the pictures on this forum (saiga -20),and i found lots of saigas with scopes(...like somebody say before...:"scope in a shotgun?"...)well,looks like im not the only one,but probably mine(the scope) was too big for the egos of the a-holes that take criticism as something personal( better proof, that found at least 6 more saigas with scopes here!)but no,mine was the one that make some "people" in this forum to take it very personal. I'm very thankful that some of the guys here spend some time in suggesting to me how to "customize" my shotgun,or bas
  7. Is this guy for real?? I think he hung all that junk on there just to start a fight on the forum!
  8. also when converted its a RUSSIAN ak. that deserves bragging rights alone.
  9. ...plus a man just goes crazy without projects that involve powertools. I have a new project every week just to keep my mind off things. do it for that reason alone haha.
  10. Its funny how the only people that argue that their un-converted saiga's are just as good are probably just pissed that they spent $70-$100 on those crappy buttstock-grip thingys when doing the real conversion can cost FAR less. to save money I even used the "weld" method and salvaged the old trigger guard. I mean why wouldn't you do the real conversion considering its easy, costs less, and doubles-triples the resale value. I sense lazy-ness.
  11. HEY, whats wrong with a pink Saiga! now thats what i call man-pink! whats that color called? It is Duracoat maroon mixed with a small amount of duracoat red. (FYI, its the wifes gun, I swear!) LOL well im glad to hear its hers, but i like the way that mixture turned out. the pink hello kitty AR's for the wife is a bit much IMO.
