i bought a 10rd promag magazine for my saiga 12 but it doesnt seem to fit i eye balled my stock clip and tried to filing the backend of the mag it fits now but doesnt lock someone help

i've just picked up a 10rd promag clip and it doesn't fit i did alittle filing on the clip and it goes in but doesnt lock someone help please
