is it correct that magpul mags have to be modified to work and other steel ak mags will work without rifle modification. I don't have a steel mag here to try but i thought that's what i remembered. I just wanted to make sure while I had things apart and I don't want to modify the mag release if no need. tia i searched through many results probably over looked it twice because I know its been asked at least 100 times before

css recommended I just use the hogue grip screw with 3 M6 washers. That resolves the screw head being to small as for the screw being to long I will either cut the screw down or add the washers.

Oh i think it will work the thread pattern looks right but if i use the included screw the head is pretty small so i think it needs a washer. which led me to think its not the right screw.

I am about to wrap up converting my 7.62 with a CSS kit. I removed some material from the Hogue grip to help it line up. in my kit i received this screw it looks like I should have gotten this screw can anyone confirm or deny? Thanks

I have a stock Saiga 7.62 I purchased a few years ago and wanted to start the converstion on it. I have looked at 100s of post and I am not looking for your favorite brands and such. I just want to know what else I need to add to my list and any info, suggestion or possible problem i should be aware of before I start gathering the needed items. Add Bullet Guide Change fire control group (probably tapco modified) Change to collapsible stock Add pistol Grip Flash hider (the last three I have not decided if I need or want to do) Change out hand guard? Add rail for vertical grip? Ext

I was ordering some mags for another rifle and wanted to get some for my Saiga. do i rem correctly something about having to get certain mags because of a bullet guide? been a few years and im old Tia

I wish I remembered who recommended that I get a Saiga. I saved all my pennies to get something to add to the gun safe and what do you know I found one and bought it. Of course the first time I shot it I fell in love. Now the problem is every damn day there is something else I want to buy for it. Now my wife is on my ass and my wallet is screaming for mercy !! SO I am now taking donations. Side note: I just want to thank all the users here. I have learned a lot but still have a lot to learn and I really appreciate the wealth of knowledge every one offers.

I will be picking up Siaga on tue. I am starting from stock so if any one has any thing such as rails, grips, red dot/scope anything really just pm and let me know. Thanks side note: not looking for anything real high end wallet and wife will not allow it.

Ok my new 7.62x39 should be here in about week and I have been searching and pouring over the forums looking for advice. I even seen mention of faq but did not see it. any way I would like suggestions on the easiest method and suggestions for a few mods I want to do. oh yea cost is an issue. Tapco trigger group pistol grip vented hand gaurd (looks nice) i would like to have a bottom rail for acc and a top rail for scope and or accesories Bullet guide ( really not sure about this one) i know I have to use us made or saiga mags if I dont use guide just not researched this one enough Mu

I really want to purchase a Saiga 7.62 X 39. I have looked many places and there seems to be a shortage. I emailed RAAC and they stated a new shipment the end of this month. my issue is it seems this firearm should sell for 300 or less. but i see prices that are double that. so does any one expect the prices to drop back down after the frenzy of people buying arms and ammo is over? I really feel like supply and demand is gouging my wallet. tia

I have been doing some research and really like Saiga vs some other variants I have looked at. I have a gun show coming up soon but have not had enough time to do all the research needed before a purchase. I need to have some idea of what to look for IF i find anything that looks like its worth buying. I just want a little guidance. Like any special markings? Range of Serial numbers to look for? Mods to look for? Reasonable price? price + mods Just anything that will identfy what I am buying and not get robbed in the process. I understand there are probably to many varibles to answ
