Whats up all my saiga forum peeps..Several months ago i created a thread http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/topic/96538-338-federal-ar-10-sbr-8-project/ on my 8" SBR 338 federal project and at that time it was in the finalized stages of completion..Today it is complete and i have chronographed it with some pretty interesting results.. Shooting a few of the Federal Factory 180gr Accubond Nosler Ballistic tips i was clocking in around 2139fps-2171fps and shooting some of the American Eagle 185gr soft point factory ammo i was getting around 2087fps-2106fps...I still have some more testing to do

  11. both...a little bit of hunting and recreational ..mostly range use and another one to hang on my wall
  12. you are correct about It being picky about light..everytime the clouds would cover up the sun ..it gave me an error message..but other than that everything else worked out to be great
  13. i just tested it out in my backyard with my sons pellet gun..its actually pretty accurate I was getting consistent shots averaging around 1-4fps difference on a spring loaded pellet gun

Not rich..this has been 1yr in the making..just kept building piece by piece until it was almost done..im glad you like it ..ill make a full video of it at the range and also do some chrony testing..im assuming that I will probably loose around 300-500fps ..ill know for sure as soon as I do the testing....thanx again or commenting..here is a pic of the 338 federal vs a 308
  17. Ok So I decided to do something a little different this time using a AR-10 Pattern platform...I am about 90% complete ..im just waiting for Mcgowen Precision to finish my barrel..they are currently 3months out..I used various parts to make up the build..The only things that are matching are the Aero Precision M5 lower/upper and .BCG with forward assist serrations...It is chambered in a .338 Federal Caliber 8" SBR using a pistol length Gas system..I will report back as soon as I finish it with a range report and video..Here are a few pics of it with his friends..
  18. Intrepid is currently out of business they are the people that make the very expensive Ras12 shotgun that uses the proprietary shotgun rounds..The complete uppers are currently going for $488 instead of the crazy $1300 it once was since they closed up shop..Unless you decide to purchase this upper as a collectors item..It would be unwise to invest in a RAS12 upper since ammo will soon be scarce and they are no reloading components for it..
  19. true ..once parts are available there could be a good chance that it will take off ....lets just hope they get rid of that shark fin on the top..or make an option for it to be removed..And also make a all aluminum lower
  20. yes i just saw this..looks like MKA 1919 will have some competition

    A Question

yeah ..i guess thats whats happening with mine..the first shots with low brass it will give a stove pipe..then the second third fourth and so on will cycle flawless.
  22. It should..i dont have any experience with the factory folded stock v12s ..mine works great with the ACE folder..someone who has a factory folded V12 may chime in and might give you a better direct answer..
