I have not yet converted my S12 (so that it looks like an AK...pistol grip that's relocated forward, etc). It's supposed to be real easy to do, but since I don't trust myself doing the conversion alone, I'm sending it out to have a pro do the work (especially since it will be for HD). All I have on it now is the Tapco butt/pisol grip and a Chaos extended quad rail. You have a lot more options if you decide to convert it. Check out the pics in the pics thread. I have that same...but, I only have it because I have yet to convert my S12 yet. What's best? Well, I guess that would depend on what you plan on using it for. Hunting, HD, killing zombies? Mine is for range fun and HD. If I was to use it to hunt with, I'd cover it with wooden furniture. I take it you are not going to convert it anytime soon? DH

About how much would a gunsmith (board sponsor) charge for a job like this? Thanks!! DH

Hi guys, I decided I'm going to have a pro work on my S12 conversion. I want it done right as it will be one of my primary home defense firearms and don't trust myself enough to do it. Yeah...I know it's "easy" for some. Since I'm sending it out, I was wondering what else I should have done to it. I'm talking more about internally....polishing parts, etc. I know I want to get the bolt open modification done and I'm almost sure what butt and pistol grip I want. I'd like to know what I can have done to it to make it more reliable. Any input will be greatly appreciated! Than

Pardon the silly question. I have a S12 with fixed sights, I just got my quad rail in the mail and am curious if I have to remove the factory sight and file down the front sight/bead. Can I install it over the sight and peek under it to aim? Thanks, and again, pardon the newbie's question. DH
