  1. I'll bet that the FBI has sent more people to jail (LOL) for violating the warning you read before watching a DVD movie than have been convicted for violating the 922 statue. Most people unknowingly violate this law because hardly anyone really fully understands it. ( Just look at the variety of questions, answers and assumptions provided on the gun forums). The majority of gun owners probably don't even know such a law exists. I have over 25 years in law enforcement and very few department personnel know the ins and outs of 922. Unless you are a terrorist or are involved in a crime while
  2. I purchases the gun from Pearch State and had no problems. Shipped quickly and in a never opened box. I'm a bit POed because I paid $600 for it about a month ago....before the prices nose dived!
  3. A tiny fraction of the money the ship owners have paid out in ransom to these "pirates" over the last few years could have been used to equipe each cargo ship/freighter/tanker with a 50 cal bow mounted machine gun of the type used on US Coast Guard Cutters along with the training required to use it. Any pirate ship approaching and posing a threat could be blasted to Kingtom Come long before they could pose a danger. AK47's and granade launchers are short range weapons. The 50 cal could sink them from over a mile away !! Are all the worlds governments run by morons ??
  4. I recently purchased a Saiga-12 and have a couple of concerns. Maybe someone here could help me out. The manual says to avoid dry firing the weapon to prevent possible damage. If the chamber is latched in an open position to ease magazine loading and then closed, the gun will be cocked ( with no round in chamber). The manual also states not to leave the gun cocked because of the residual strain on the mainspring. To prevent this the hammer will have to be released. Is there any other way to release the hammer without dry firing? It seems like a catch 22 situation. Another question
  5. I'm in Brevard County.....Melbourne Beach. Im just purchased a S-12 and don't know much about it yet. Richard
  6. I just took delivery of a new Saiga-12 yesterday. I am not happy with the thin plastic stock that came on the gun. I have seen Daisy BB guns with better stocks !! What do you guys recommend as a decent replacement stock? I see that Tapco makes a pistol grip stock for the Saiga. Intrafuse also makes a stock. Any advice would be appreciated. thanks, Richard
