  1. The link you referred to is a bill that has not been ratified. This same bill gets reintroduced nearly every year and it's first stop is at the republican controlled 'codes committee'; once the bill makes it to the codes committee it gets shot down (pun intended). I'm sure you didn't intend to scare NY'ers, but it is incorrect to imply that this has passed; it has not passed and it is unlikely that it will pass in the near future (hopefully). So please, to all my fellow NY'ers do not worry and go out and 'panic buy' as it drives up prices for everyone else.
  2. I don't have any calipers, otherwise I would. I don't see why someone can't just post up the measurements instead of posting comments that do anything but answer the question being asked. Maybe this forum isn't the place to ask questions about saiga rifles despite the very name of this site.
  3. tl:dr= Wanted to have the dimensions before fabing it up and saving at least some time. I appreciate your opinions/advice comrades! I agree with you Myetball, butI would honestly like to make one myself. However, like knowing how far apart to place electrical sockets I was hoping to get some specs before having to correct mistakes (or having to start from scratch again). I completely understand what you're saying ekim, and that's why I have the disclaimer. Although, the disclaimer wouldn't hold up in court, it's not anything remotely close to asking; how to disable a magazine safety, or
  4. I didn't want to be a dick and ask him how to make a product he sells (seeing as he probably doesn't list the dimensions on his site for the sole reason of losing business to DIYers). If you don't think it would be a dick move, I may ask and post the dimensions here
  5. thanks kev, but its the flat trunnion that we are interested in. Im starting to wish i had a round one just so i wouldn't have to ask.
  6. can someone perhaps measure their bullet guide and post up the measurements?
  7. I am also curious, does anyone know ALL of the dimensions? All I could find was the length of the guide at .765". Having the width of the guide as well as the depth of the guide before AND under the barrel would be nice. I can't believe I can't find all of the detailed measurements of a flat bullet guide, in one place, anywhere on the interwebs.
  8. i dont know the prices at brownells, but here is a link to some parkerizing kits http://www.shootersolutions.com/parkerizekits.html you can use brake cleaner as your degreaser, and WD40 as your water displacer after the final water rinse. I just found more resources about homebrew parkerizing here http://www.homegunsmith.com/cgi-bin/ib3/ik...gi?;act=SF;f=22
