  1. Sweet!!! I already knew I wanted that rail but I think that photo just sold me on the warthog. SOLID!
  2. My springfield operator champion. Always under the bed.
  3. I like the grip without the battery storage. I like how it looks rounded on the bottom. I must have one.
  4. DUDE! THAT WAS DRIVING ME CRAZY! Im so glad this is posted. I think this needs to be put into the FAQ section
  5. If you used a metal shell like that for your top-most round, I imagine you could keep the bolt closed and the gun loaded.
  6. I was... because I couldn't get the damned safety in with the BHO in position.... only with it out of the retaining pin. When I got my replacement plate, I took some material off the top of the BHO and the safety and had no problems. I was hoping not to have to do that but its the way it had to be.
  7. I just bought the surefire 2 round mag and its the sturdiest mag I own. The material seems very thick and it looks very clean when inserted into the gun. I cant really say anything about the factory 2 round. I have never seen one.
  8. Im bumping this because I just finished my conversion and wanted to say/identify a few things as a noob who did the deed. 1. Drilling the holes is a pain in the butt, but again, if you have the right tools i.e., a good drill, dinzags carbide drills and a good tabletop vice grip, its not that bad. 2. Skip the dremel and go to the grinder to get the plate off... if you have a steady hand, this is the way to go. If you dont, use the dremel and put on a pot of coffee. 3. Pry the trigger guard plate off by bending back the trigger guard and using it a handle for leverage.. wiggle it every wh
  9. Ok. I have a retaining plate, but it was partly blocking the hole... and so I dremeled it out... ... so I take it that the real answer is I need a replacement... because I screwed up. I was bound to make a mistake. It's supposed to partially block the hole, that's how it retains the axles in place. You fit the pins in ALL the way, then slide the retainer into the channel of the hammer axle, then down into the channel of the trigger axle, then push the safety through the solid hole in the back of the retainer. At least it was only a $10 mistake. You're right. Could ha
  10. Huh? Which hole? The hole where the hammer pin has to go. it was partially blocked by the retaining pin

  12. I just finished my PGC on my saiga 12. Waiting for the stock and grip now. Everything else is done. However, I am having a problem that my pin holding the hammer in place rides out slowly shot after shot. Has anyone encountered this problem? I looked in the archives and came up empty handed. Did I make a mistake somewhere along the way in my conversion? -Paul
  13. so Im going to need to either drill my own hole for my pistol grip or buy the tromix DIY trigger guard? This is a new development
  14. Yep, pfmedic's got a flash-hider there, not a real muzzle brake. I haven't decided whether to get a muzzle brake or a poly-choke yet, (leaning toward the choke), but for the OP, here are a couple brakes that look like they might actually reduce felt recoil and aren't too expensive, (specifically the SGM brakes at the bottom of the page). Didn't know that... but it looks good and like you guys said I dont really feel like the recoil on the gun is bad at all. My remington sportsman 48... now thats an unbearable amount of recoil.
  15. Scoutjoe said it first. Scoutjoe said it best.
  16. I got my FCG from Dinzag and its machined correctly. FYI
  17. I prefer something more reserved rather than something very outlandish, but I do feel that your brake should say "I mean business." However. its really all up to you. I chose this model which you can purchase from mississippi auto arms.
  18. The 10-12 round drum is the best. I honestly dont like how long the traditional style 10 and 12 round mags hang off the gun. I need something more compact that holds at least ten rounds. Your compact drum is definately something I will purchase when you finish the product.
  19. PF are my initials and I work on an ambulance and for a fire dept as a "medic." Im not sure what the deal is, but I have found that alot of medics own guns... alot of guns. I suppose I fall into the category.
  20. neither am I. Looks like I have my question answered.
  21. I wanted to order a black stock set... just the handle and the buttstock... preferably warsaw length (AK-008BUSW). Any ideas why everyone is sold out? Emailed K-VAR with no response.. been a few days. Should I just order the whole 4-piece set from Danzig and pay more? -P.

The handguard bracket is where the trouble lies. I did crack a little composite off the unit when I attempted to put it on the opposite way... becuase its simply wont go on the other way. The good news is that its on the inside so you cant see and it doesnt effect the fit. The bracket however does. I shaved it down and it fits but looks sloppy. I ordered another and i will send it to a smith. Anyway The agp magazine wont lock in place.
