  1. Dear George, My first thought is you are an idiot. My next thought is you are serious. Leaving the first thought, 308 will take any game (for food) and is an excellent defense round.
  2. My S308 will shoot .75 MOA until it heats up. Then it starts stringing up, left, and right. If I need to shoot more accurately, I'll use my AR.
  3. I bought the NcStar Speedloader. I had to trim the ends for the mag locks to fit. It will accept ten round stripper clips.

    .308 mags?

I just trimmed the follower (make sure you leave enough of the side guides that fit in the grooves of the mag) and the spacer until ten will fit.
  5. While we wait for mags, how about this: 1. 308 Mag Speed Loader 2. 308 Stripper Clips This doesn't do anything for the lack of mags, but sure does help in the speed of reloading. As long as we're waiting.......
  6. My possible source is not sending any replies to my questions, I do not know if He is still working on getting mags or not. I waiting, but losing hope.
  7. I would go for a medium price mag, but without modification of the rifle. I don't need Hi-cap mags, I want another mag and not break the bank getting it. I'll sell my rifle and replace it with another before I modify it. I am losing hope in my possible source for mags.
  8. Not wanting to raise hopes, I will put out any info as soon as I know it. 8 rounds are cool for me.
  9. I simply would like more than one mag. 8 rounders are fine by me, but if 12 rounders are available that would be my choice. All I do with my saiga is target shooting. I have found that I can hit a 1" circle (Quarter) at 100 yards pretty much at will. I am not trying to raise hopes, I am trying to demonstrate a viable demand while working with a possible supplier (who is already selling Saiga mags)
  10. I do not want to get any hopes up, The fellow that I'm talking to did not think there was a big enough market for the 308 mags. A small demand would cause either a big $$$ cost for mags or no mags at all, while a greater demand would lower the price. Again BIG BIG IF, IF these mags (12 Rounders) became available, would you be interested?
  11. We've been burned before, but I may have found a source for 308 mags. I was looking for 8 round mags, but the fellow I've been talking to says he might be able to get 12 round mags. I'll keep you posted. He says that He would sell the mags for $40 - 45. This looks like it will be a small order of about 500 mags to test the waters of demand. If this works out, I've already asked for 4 mags. BIG BIG IF, it might help if I was able to tell him about the amount of interest in these mags. Also, if there is interest in the 8 round mags. I think any factory mag is better than the one tha
