  1. I ordered my drum just over 48 hrs ago-- Then there was roughly 530 available.. Right now there is 192 left...thats about 7 an hour for you math majors which is pretty damn impressive. I think the market has decided who they support. Congrats Mike-I look forward to abusing mine when I get it!
  2. Thanks for the post Mike--mine is one of those pending orders you will have in your inbox when you go to work tomorrow!. It would be interesting to see what your sales increase is this week compared to last week--I think I saw 350 some drums available...I hope you're in a production swing, I bet they don't last long!
  3. Thanks guys. I'm sending mine in this week. I have ran about 500+ rounds through it--pretty good mix of heavy loads and light--I'm hoping they can make it shine!
  4. Just wondering who all has had CGW do warranty work on their Saiga's? I am in the process of sending in the paperwork and am curious to hear your before/after field reports. I am having some FTE issues I am hoping to get cleaned up. Thanks

  6. Thanks gang! I appreciate the help! -pete
  7. Hey fellas, Been awhile since I've been on the forum. I am still having some FTE problems--and was looking to get it cleared up before I jump into a conversion. I remember there being an outfit that did warranty work to fix partially blocked ports..can someone link me to a thread tht talks about this..or put me in contact of those that are doing this work? Thanks,
  8. Just thought I'd share it--the one I shot was in pretty rough shape--4 owners at least that he knew of. The butt stock spun 360*--I actually shot it one handed with the short stock anchored in my elbow. It was fun as hell to shoot--with the Bullpup style--it creates one VERY compact unit--w/o having to have to use a cut off barrel. I agree with some of the "rude" features--but if you combine the Highs-of the Saiga with that of the Model 10 and you would have one fun little gun
  9. I had a bachelor party this past weekend...did a little shooting. I wanted to make sure my Saiga was a good one before dumping in to much $$$ to it--I WISH I WOULD HAVE HAD THE MD-20!! It shots alright on low brass--she got a little moody around the 100rd mark Anyway, why most of you read this thread: Have you all heard of High Standard Model 10, 12ga?? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_Standard_Model_10 Check this baby out: it is a lot moodier than the Saigas on low brass and utilize a 4rd tube rather than stick mags--but it is a hell of a machine. In my opinion if you
  10. Nah, I haven't swapped any parts..yet it is on the table though! I wanted to take it out a few times to see if there was any warranty work that may have to be done to get it working correctly. I am going to take it out this weekend and work it over a bit and let you guys know how it goes.
  11. I appreciate the help, I am going to take it out again to a bachelor party this weekend! I wanted to have the MD-20 to "enhance" the party, but it will be fun, none the less. If I have issues this weekend, then I may be reaching out to find out what I should do next to get it back to performing flawlessly I thanks for the help folks
  12. Not positive, but it was cheap, low brass dove load. The thing is I used the same ammo--both times The crust was sitting on top of the puck when i pulled the regulator out. There may have been some on ports as well I used a brush to try and clear them out a bit. The crust was grainy but it didn;t crumble when rubbed it in my fingers. I remember reading in a thread that some guys leave the bolt locked back for a month or so--I cleaned it up pretty well, oiled it and left the bolt locked to the rear.--any other cheap fixes, or do I need to start looking at buying some parts?
  13. I have taken my Saiga out twice: First time out--right out of the box fired 125 rds of cheap 8 shot ammo--NO FAILURES AT ALL and it was set on the heavy gas setting Second time out--stove pipe, jamming SOB--couldn't fire 5 rds w/o a failure to eject. I switched to the light gas setting, and it really did no better. I brought the gun home and stripped it to clean, and found "crusty debris" on top of the gas piston. Any ideas as to why this fired like a champ out of the box, and now is acting up on me? I was thinking a was lucky and picked up a pretty solid made unit--now I am w
  14. well it seems like I got a good one. I was a bit worried due to reading some of these posts-and that I could only see one fully visible port, and what looked like partials of two more that were covered. But I took it out last night and blasted through 115 rds of all sorts of low brass--only 2 FTE! I am pleased, that was out of the std 5 rnd mag, would feeding from the MD-20 make a difference? Now that I know it shoots, I can start planning my build: I would like to move the trigger forward, and put the pistol grip under the receiver, as opposed to the Tapco rear receiver mount.
