  1. "refusal to identify" aka obstruction or resisting w/o violence... some people that posted sound like jailhouse lawyers. sounds good to them and great if they convince someone of it...but disappear like smoke and mirrors when in front of a judge. these last couple of pages got me to laugh. btw, sopmod, thanks for grouping us with the SS. very tactful. guess thats how u view us. look a little more recent than ww2 and ull see that the holocaust was said to be bad. mkay? we dont put people in concentration camps. we are actually here to protect ignorant people as urse
  2. Excellent point ReverendFranz. No further questions your honor.
  3. You couldn't be more correct Dogman. Here in northern Nevada we had an instance of that about 2 months ago. Two police officers pulled over a vehicle that they suspected of being driven by a driver under the influence, when they approached the vehicle they were shocked to find one of their fellow officers. They proceeded to remove him from his vehicle and placed him in the back of their patrol car. After four hours had elapsed, and much water, they administered a field sobriety test. I ask this question, if that had been you they pulled over for suspicion of DUI, would they have been as forgiv
  4. I hope that you are not accusing me of being a cop hater. I know many police officers personally. I also have direct contact with those individuals currently pursuing criminal justice degrees and will be filling the positions of leadership within law enforcement agencies across the country. The instructors of both the traditional 2 year degree programs for students already accepted into the academy and the 4 year bachelor's degree program have quite a distorted view of not only the Constitution and its importance to the American legal system but the role of law enforcement in America. In addi
  5. Will, you are correct. There are elements within law enforcement agencies that represent the finest characteristics of the American patriot. Unfortunately, in the case of law enforcement as a whole, a few bad apples do ruin the bunch. The Fraternal Order of Police has supported gun control legislation in the past and I don't see any reason why they won't again in the future. All this is done in the name of public safety. The FOP is currently lobbying Congress to pass legislation that would allow off duty and retired LEO's to carry concealed firearms without having to obtain a CCW. This further
  6. If it is not a lack of knowledge on the part of the American citizens, would it be more accurate to say that it is a lack of conviction? If we are well aware of our rights but we refuse to stand up for them when they are trampled, then that is a lack of courage. That charge is far worse than ignorance. There are many on this forum who speak of bravery and courage in the future if their rights were threatened, but how many would do so today if a police officer were to treat them the very same way as the OP? It starts now. We should fight everyone who tries to subjugate us. Not just the terroris
  7. Most pople can't see the forest through the trees. I don't understand why so many here are rushing to justify the many creative and unconstitutional ways that out of control "peace officers" choose to violate our rights. Political groups such as the Police Executive Research Forum (PERF) and the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) actively lobby members of congress to expand their power and reduce your rights. However, we all should be aware that just because Congress passes legislation, that doesn't make it Constitutionally or morally right. We are losing sight of the fu
  8. The reason police across the country act this brazen is because most Americans are ignorant of their rights. As far as "running the numbers to make sure everything checks out" goes, the previous posts are correct in that this constitutes an illegal search and seizure. There is no national gun registry so the only way a patrol officer can verify the status of a weapon is to cross check the serial number with a known list of stolen weapons. Since he had no valid reason to suspect your weapons were stolen, this search ammounted to nothing more than a fishing expedition. Without probable cause, ie
  9. Great post 1911, I hope many get a chance to view it. Thank you.
  10. Thanks nailbomb, I understand that the dishonest actions of a few in the past can have lasting effects on current members.
  11. I understand, I don't work for any MFG. As a matter of fact, I don't work for anyone. I am a full time student at University of Nevada Reno. I was offering my opinion about a product that was being discussed in this thread. There seems to be alot of distrust on this forum.
  12. I agree Cobra, I have refrained from posting, for the most part, because it seems to me that there is alot of emotional arguing that occurs on this forum. However, the business members have been very informative.
  13. Just because my opinion differs from those members that have more posts than I does not change the fact that I have had no problems with this product. If newcomers are not welcome to post, then change the forum's guidelines.
  14. I find it interesting when people seem to equate the validity of an individuals opinion with the number of posts on this forum.
