Another thing is i could not even get a pmag to go in the adapter more then 3/4 of the way then it got stuck and was a bitch to get out. Once it was out you could see groves in it where it dug into.

I talked to MSA before posting this and what i am saying is not false it is based on my gun and in my gun at there depths it would not work. The adapter would lock in but the front of the mags kept hitting in the area that was to be milled out. It was done on a lathe with the right tools and attachments and was measured with a depth guage. I was told that it seems the EAA where built with different parts so each could be different. I do not know why MSA has not posted anything about this so I will cause I found out the hard way.Now my gun with the adapter in it jams has some mag.slop my next step is a bullet guide.I should have just bought 4 stock mags instead i guess. If you have an EAA saiga 223 the mmilling specs are not the same. I went to there specs and the adapter would not work in my gun, I had to go deeper. Also in one set of photos with the adapter it says go flush with rails do not do this with the EAA it will be way to far. If any of you guys with regular Saigas read this let me know if on you

you ought to make some for the 223 and 308 I know people would be interested in them there are not crap for good 308 handguards. I would take one for my 12 and 308 (if the 308 where available)

I have the same issue with my 308 and 223 both Saigas.When I pull the charging handle back and hold it while i let it go forward to close it catches about half way and I can even take my hand off of it completely and it will stay half open most all times. But if I pull it back and let er drop they always slam shut nice and tight. I always thought it was not broke in enough maybe it needs to be cleaned and polished up. But I do know what you are talking about.

I have never understood why there are not very many options to choose from for front handguards for our 308 Saigas. Alot of the ones for the Saiga 12 would even look good.What about quadrails??

Have you guys tryed using JB Weld to build your lugs on the magazines for a lasting fix, Once it hardens you can sand it file it shape it ect..

I got my second saiga 12 today and took it out and took it apart to see how many gas port hole it has. There are 3 just like my other one in the form of a triangle with the top away from the muzzle end. Now the port to the right has a bit of space between it and the edge of the gas block, the one on the left has some of the gas block over the edge of it so it does not look like a full hole?? Is this normal anyone else have this with there gun?? (With my luck there was a half hour till quiting time at the gun factory and some joe just threw it on and sent it out without ever checking it.)

Both of the Saigas 12 I have bought have the front adjustable sites on them. ( i did not realize this till after) Are these easy to remove if i want to put on say a titan quad rail. or a gas tube cover from CSS.

When installing the over sized knob does the allen screw go into the curve of the charging handle or onto the flat back of it??
