That was my thought, but what do I know.

I don't mind a bias as long as it is a reasoned and declared bias. I think he is consistent, and I know where he/they are coming from. I also think they are trustworthy in their reporting of facts. Selection of which to report will match their ideology. It's still a great series and I am happy to contribute to the making of it. -- I need to re up onthe forum contribution after my next client. It's probably been a while.

Interestingly I learned a bit about how the idiot regs work for CCW from a federal perspective. "Any federal building"... = any building where federal employees regularly work. So the hotdog stand at a national park is off limits, but you are probably OK in the outhouse, unless it is attatched to a gift shop or somethng. The park itself is OK so long as it would be in the state anyway.

I already knew the mag pouch was hokey. As I said, it has been my intent to do the belt clips for a while. It is interesting how much the simple addition of a timer makes one's skills degrade. Normally I can double tap at those distances and keep my shots on a 5" steel disc. In the matches, doing a controlled pair = 8-10" group that is 6" low.

Honestly, I rushed it. they were all on target, doing mozambiqes, but my groups were sloppy. Also, I used that zildjian pouch I made half as a joke and had trouble getting the SGM mag to pull free. Time to make the belt clips. I just need some industrial velcro.

That's fun too. I actually want to be forced to use cover. I don't necessarily agree with the rationale behind some of the reload rules, but I do like how inexpensive IDPA is. It's nice to actually really have a chance to compete with what I carry.

the kid is doing a lot of things which could get himself hurt too though. Barrel is not pressure rated. his gun could fire incorrectly indexed, his wrist is exposed to cylender gap blast. That could be mitigated with a nagant revolver type action that uses the unfolding shell to bridge the gap though maybe.
