  1. I was thinking pretty much the same thing: I want to put this recoil tube 16 0z Into the top tube of this [ I think there might be enough room, and if there isn't I wouldn't mind doing the mods. Add a serious sissy pad and I will have the shotgun I have always wanted. Does anyone here have one that can give some measurements on the top 'tube'? I want approximate inner diameter, and length. The height of the butt would be nice too for finding recoil pads.
  2. maybe not a drum, but anything more than 10 would make that gun much more fun. It has always worked great, but I sure wish I had a ruger or beretta 9mm carbine instead. I really can't understand why noone is selling at least a 20 shot for those. they would sell at pretty much any price.
  3. Thanks very much. I will be ordering in just a few minutes. I have been reading the things on this site for a few days now and cannot tell if switching to the RAA skeleton stock (17 items down here) (which is apparently available as 'stock' stock in some configurations) keeps my gun sporting or not. Also you keep saying ten round. Are the rules different for the 12 round? I just ordered one and live in Washington State. The other thing that is unclear to me is this: If I replace the puck/ tappet/ piston or whatever name you give it, does the gun suddenly become 'modified' and then I need
  4. So as a new owner who doesn't have a bunch of cash, I ask you guys which I should buy first if I can only afford one for the time being, the puck or the gunfixr plug. I mostly bought this gun to go through a lot of walmart "Winchester universal", or similar cheap stuff and can't get mine to cycle on either setting. Mine has 3 holes, and the edges of 2 might be slightly covered. I would prefer to only do reversible modifications such as buying a plug or puck. I was mostly getting failures to eject, but I also had a couple of failures to feed, that I think were from wiggle on the factory m
  5. will that fit on the factory stock or the RAA skeleton (dragunov style?) That looks like the best deal on a decent pad I have seen.
  6. yeah, from looking at it breifly, it did look good especially as a counterpoint. It was mostly a rant. I think people should reognise their personal biases and declare them rather than pretending they are objective. The points made in their summaries seemed pretty solid and relevant especially as counterpoints to all of the bad and blatantly padded numbers I have heard in the past. Remember that million shoe thing in the 90's? The organizers basically admitted later that they mostly got as many shoes as they could and picked a number near that based on what sounded good. I really wish I
  7. If your studies have to be unbiased, you are screwed. all of them are done by humans. Humans who care enough about something to study it are biased by definition, and anyone claiming lack of bias is a lair and/or a fool. Double for news anchors. I took several classes on crime statistics and reporting for my bachelors (law & justice/ Prelaw), and the main point that all of the classes made is that crime stats can't really be compared, because the way they are gathered, compared, compiled and defined vary so much that the UCR is pretty much meaningless, as are most of the other major r
  8. ok sounds good. I will probably do that eventually. Is it worth buying one of the drop in modified ones like tromix , or would you just buy the tapco and do the alterations yourself?
  9. Aside from being US made parts, what do they do for you? shorter lighter pull? again sorry for the saiga newbieness. I just bought mine, and only want functional improvements.
  10. Sorry if this is a retarded question, but do these actually do anything other than look cool on a shotgun? I understand muzzle breaks with rifles, and directioal porting to counteract barrel flip, but aside from griping a door for breaching, what is the point of a break?
  11. tsm002, do you have to modify the gun to take it or is it a simple bolt on like the raa dragunov style? Also I am fairly new to the 'evil gun' world, and want to know if a thumbhole dragunov style stock would cause legal problems in Washington state... as far as I can tell I am fine to just switch stocks and play. It would be nice to know if that is not the case.
