  1. I was also curious about this, but not worried. My s12 shoots buck great, but not so good with the light stuff. Only has about 75 rounds through it though, I got tired of using it as a single shot. Ordered my plug today, hope to try it out at the range next weekend, if I can find someone to go with.
  2. Thanks! I think that may be what happend. I can tell you it was no fun trying to turn that gas plug, I think I am going to order Gunfixers plug before I go out again. I do have three ports on my gun, all are open, so still trying to work things out. Also, as I said, no problem with the Rio 00 buck.
  3. Okay, so I took the Siaga out today with some proper 00 buck to test it after the Win(i know I bought the wrong ammo) walmart loads had FTF almost ever round. Well, when I screw my plug all the way in, it is at setting two, so I backed it off to setting 1, and the gun worked great with 00 buck. After running 25 rounds though the gun, I thought I would change setting back to 2 and see what happend. If I understand correctly, I am supposed to back it out again till it says two, right? In doing so, I every round failed to eject. It didnt even appear to have enough go power to move the action.
  4. That would be awesome! I take the gun out tomorrow with some 00buck to see if it is in complete working order. Last time out wasnt so good, but I think it was ammo related.
  5. Wow a couple long weeks at work and all this hot weather, I havent been on line! I am going to shoot it tomorrow to make sure it works well. I think I will take some of you up on your willingness to help. Maybe in exchange I take you to my shooting places around Olympia, but there has to be some place closer for most of you.
  6. Thanks, I would appreciate that! As I said, I seem to over think things. When I first did a body lift on my jeep I was told it would take 45 min. 4 hours later, all the bolts where in. As for the transfer case rebuild...well, that took a month. But it did finally move again.
  7. I think I may tackle this conversion business but was hoping I may be able to get the help of a mentor, someone who has gone before. I am semi mechanically inclined, but find I have a habbit of overstepping my abilities and making things worse than they should be. This became evident when I would attempt to work on my jeep, it would often find its way to my mechanic by way of a flat bed, half way through my project. So, will any one give me a hand?

    KA Puck

I am looking to get the KA Puck before my next trip to the range. I do not get to make it out as much as I would like, but the last, and first, trip with the Saiga I had multiple FTE. The bolt was actually crushing the hulls into the bolt. And, the other reason is to bring my parts count down to ten for my Surfire mags until I can afford to convert. So, is there any reason I should not get the plug? Should I just use my 5 rounders until I can convert? Thanks
  12. Wow, amazing work you do. Let us know how it shoots!
  13. Thanks for everyone's help, looks like you all talked me out of my next OT check. Going to be interesting shooting in almost factory condition with a drum hanging off it. Next step is to slowly start buidling my parts for conversion. If I can get the gun running smoothly, I may tackle the conversion myself.
  14. I am glad I read this thread, it appears my gun is over gassed as I have the bolt coming forward before the empty shells can get out of the way. And mine is factory 3 hole
