Anybody use a Tracfone?
seanie replied to seanie's topic in General Discussion - Any topic is welcome here!!!
Not looking for any cash for it Sal, figured I'd actually do something nice for a change. YWHIC's got it. Let's close this bitch. -
Figure I might as well just pass this one on, since I can't do anything with it. My girl told me she had a Tracfone, turns out she had a Net10 phone. I've got a $40/200 minute code for whoever wants it.

has anybody used a aftermarket .223 SAIGA mag ie. SUREFIRE in a

Don't SAR3s have a bullet guide? If they do, I'd imagine that you'd need to mod the Surefire mags to fit with the bullet guide. Why bother when you can pick up Circle 10s for cheaper and not have to mod them? -
I had the same dilemma as you, and I settled on the Ultimak. I didn't pay list and buy it new, I trolled riverofguns constantly, and ended up with a slightly used one for $150 shipped. Keep an eye out for bargains!

Do you have to do anything to the Galil mags to make them work? Or are you good with just the bullet guide and no tab on your rifle?

I've been there and done it sirs: I just used a spare scope mount I had laying around and a few flat head screws. I had to dremel down a bit of the inside of the handguard for clearance for the nuts though. Hope this helps you.

I was under the assumption that if any shotguns were in use by Russian military, it would be the KS-K: http://www.izhmash.ru/eng/product/ks-k.shtml

Looks good. Way to go all WESCOG on that bitch.

In my experience, it's like that on all varieties of AK. My advice is to spend a night in front of the tv working it back and forth, to break it in.

I'm pretty much echoing Klassy. I've got a Bushnell Trophy 28mm tube red dot that hasn't suffered in the least from hundreds of rounds of rapid fire on my .223. The only stories I've ever heard of optics failure on an Ultimak were all second-, third-, fourth-hand, and so on. I've yet to encounter anyone that can tell me personally that they've had an optic crap out on them from the heat.

Once I made up my mind on them, I just lurked on every board I could for deals. River of Guns helped a lot. I picked up my top rail that was mounted but never shot for $75 shipped, and the tri-rail lower lightly used for $150 shipped.

Nice choice! I wish I had the cash to drop on an Aimpoint. Maybe one day, when I stop buying so many damn guns.

I'm a fan of how cheap, reliable, and decently accurate Brown Bear is. I find it around here for anywhere from $120-150/500. It seems a little cleaner than Wolf, and a little more accurate too.
