Bulgarian Makarov is my prefered carry gun. it hits where you point it.

I've owned both and the Saiga wins in all catagories except for ease in getting parts and as Aethelbert said, I don't know of anyone needing replacement parts.

New to this forum and wanted to say hello. At present I own a Saiga 7.62 w/20" barrel and a Saiga .223 w/ 16 barrel. My first love is Mosin Nagant rifles but my Saigas are a close second. They are the only "modern" firearms I shoot anymore and I shoot them a lot.

Own 8. 5- 91/59's, 2- 91/30's and 1-M91. I love these old rifles and as you can tell my favorites are the 91/59's. I use only surplus ammo and have found corrosive ammo to be no problem. shoot a little Windex w/ammonia down the bore and on the bolt head to neutralize the corrosive salts , then clean as usual.
